Why isn't my 350 transmission speedometer gear spinning?
Because your speedometer drive gear box probably needs to be replaced. Jack up the car (drive wheels off ground) disconnect speedo from transmission. Have someone start the car, put it in drive and look at the gear box to see if it is spinning. The drive gear box costs less than 20 buck son most cars.

Where is the tps sensor on jeep commander?
Its on the right side of the throttle body. The throttle body is behind the black housing in the middle of the engine that says something like 4.7 V8. The throttle body sensor is the one on the top of another sensor that is on the right side of the throttle body.

The blower motor resistor is located behind the glovebox. The glovebox has two clips/hinges that pop off from the bottom and one clip on the inside, right side, slide it to the larger hole to pop it out and finagle the glovebox out.
You'll see the resistor being held in by two screws, mine happend to have the star type screws.

1. Block rear tires Put on park brake
2. Jack up vehicle from jack point just behind drivers front tire.
3. Put jackstands under both front jack points.
4. Remove drivers side front wheel. 3/4in (more room to work)
5. Remove 30a fuse that powers all radio functions
6. Place transfer case in neutral (engine on,foot brake on , trans in neutral)
7. Remove negative battery cable and secure (10mm)
8. Remove 4 15mm bolts from front of driveshaft(impact wrench and possibly heat to remove)(put loc-tite on when reinstalled)
8. Remove 6 8mm bolts from rear of driveshaft.
9. Seperate driveshaft from transfer case and slide rearward and leave there.
10. Remove 2 15mm bolts holding starter.
11. Manipulate starter to access two 10mm bolts holding heat shield and remove shield.
12. Remove 13mm bolt holding large wire connector with flex head ratchet
13. Rotate starter to view small wire connector. Push on connector release on side located near center of solenoid and it will pop off easily(do not pry).
14. Install new starter in reverse order or removal.
Tools required Good impact wrench , air compressor , 3/8 flex head ratchet, various extensions 1/2" and 3/8" , 1/2-15mm socket,3/8-13mm socket , 1/4-8mm socket, 10mm box wrench, 3/8-1/4 adapter, blue loc-tite, jacks and stands, propane torch , flashlight.

your transmission over heated take it to a shop and get it checked out. it could be nothing more than driving it hard on a hot day. but most likely somthing is wrong. i.e. a clog in your transmission cooler lines that if not repaired now could ruin your transmission.

obviously this is a very annoying problem with Jeep commanders. I've read other stories whereby you might need to purchase a reset module. My questions is, "Is this a money making scheme?" I'm a LITTLE weary of taking my Jeep to the dealers, paying them, and no results. My light stays on all the time and I tried the ignition reset idea with no results. My big question is, "Will the airbag deploy for no reason at all. If so, this can be a very expensive experience.
The airbag light stays on when the computer detects a malfunction in the system. You have to have the system checked with a scan tool to know the code/codes and possible causes. When the cause of the code has been repaired, the light will reset itself.

I'm not familiar with Jeep products, personally, but I can tell you how to find it...
Locate the AC compressor. There'll be two refrigerant lines going into it. One is small, one is large. Follow the large one back - you'll find the low side schrader valve somewhere along that line. Typically, they're capped with a black plastic cap. One way you'll verify it's the right one is that your refrigerant can will fit onto it properly - the high side and low side schrader valves are different dimensions.

I have a 2006 comander and could never find how to set the clock. This is what I have discovered. First disconnect the negative terminal from the battery. Wait 10 seconds and reconnect. Start the engine and swutch on the radio to any FM station. The time will be diaplayed in the right lower corner of the display. Switch the radio off and the correct time will be displayed. I do not have a nav disc installed so I dont know if the nav system will find and display the correct time automaticly or not.
