Because it was a secret organization, the demographics of actual Klan membership is not known. However, it appears that it attracted white Protestant men and women (yes, there was a Women of the KKK or WKKK) from a cross section of society. The Klan of the 1920s also attracted strong supporters of National Prohibition and shared many members with the Woman's Christian Temperance union (WCTU).

The country would have been much better off. African Americans and some others would not have had their rights denied, would have been better off financially, the South would not have been under one party rule for about 100 years, and lives would have been spared.

The KKK originally started after the civil war to scare the newly freed slaves from expressing their civil rights. They dressed in white sheets to intimidate African Americans to think they were ghosts of civil war dead. They killed people, hung them, beat them, and did things to keep African Americans intimidated. Many of the men involved were also the leading men of the area and part of the police department. They were so powerful in the 1920's they had a march down Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington DC and they ran a man for president. They are a white supremacist organization that still exists and is still not for equal rights.

Depends if you get caught or not... Individual school policies will vary, and these would be approved by the School Board or the Superintendent or both. In my school, if you draw anything deemed inappropriate on your own stuff (backpack, notebook, hands, etc.) you may be asked to remove the item or graffiti (wash it off, in the case of body parts!), given detention or suspension, and/or referred for counselling. If it's written on school property (books, desks, walls, etc.) the penalties are worse because then it's considered vandalizing school property. (You also risk having the stuffing beat out of you, but that's from other students and not official school policy!)

Yes, the KKK did target Mormons in the Southern United States. There are several events described in various journals and newspapers. It is thought that the KKK started the rumor that Mormons have horns (due to Elder J. Golden Kimball telling them so in an attempt to scare them) and contributed to the rumor that Mormonism is very secretive (because meetings and services were often held secretly at night to avoid harrassment).

At it's peak time yes. They terrorised Black people all over America and murdered innocent people due to there racial hatred. Today they are still active with around 6000 members still active today who have a reputation because of the strong opinions these horrible racist people feel.

Any white hate group does - such as Nazis and Ku Klux Klan members. They claim that anyone who's not 100% white is inferior - but they have a rude surprise waiting for most of them because almost nobody is 100% white any longer, especially in America!

When the KKK was first created, it was used as a way to help widows. They also helped orphaned children. One tactic they used was burning crosses in black peoples yards.
