I don't do bottles, so don't offer the bottle or "put it in a cup" nonsense. It's just like being snuggled by your loved one when you were a kid. Some of us still do that with our spouses. It gives you a sense of warmth and safety. I can't imagine having my son cry himself to sleep beacuase I want to wean him. Haven't any of you adults cried yourselves to sleep after fighting with a loved one? Doesn't feel to good does it? The bottom line is : it's your child and to each his own, but when your child whips out your breast across the dinner table it's time to start weaning. It is a very hard thing to do. I am in that boat right now. My choice, no one elses.
