Linkin Park was somewhat known before the release of their first album. Linkin Park shot to worldwide became fame after the release of their album "Hybrid Theory". Songs like Crawling, In the End and One step closer were super hits.
Linkin park sold alone with their first 2 Albums ( 35-40 millions) more than Megadeth
( around 38 millions) with all Albums. Not sure if they even sold 38 Millions, because their new Albums ( after RISK) dont sell so much anymore.
Linkin park sold totally around 60 Millions.
Yes!! So much better! Not only are they more attractive and better dancers, but they are better singers which is SO important! Big Time Rush is really great at harmonizing and the variety in the tones of their voices is wonderful! One Direction is very overrated because they are a British group but honestly, they all sound the same, they can't dance, and they don't harmonize! I hate all this hype about them bringing back boy bands...
Their number.1 singles are:
In The End
Somewhere I Belong
Faint
Numb
Lying From You
Breaking The Habit
Numb/Encore
What I've Done
New Divide
The Catalyst.
Their first two albums, Hybrid Theory and Meteora, are completely clean.
Other Linkin Park songs without swears are;
Wake
Leave Out All The Rest
Shadow Of The Day
What I've Done
No More Sorrow
In Between
In Pieces
The Little Things Give You Away
The Requiem
The Radiance
Burning In The Skies
Empty Spaces
Robot Boy
Jornada Del Meurto
Waiting For The End
Wisdom, Justice, And Love
Iridescent
The Catalyst
The Messenger
(Please note that this list does not include songs from Reanimation, the remix album of Hybrid Theory)
for keiko
They were origanilly Xero, then chester bennington came and they changed the name to hybrid theory, but were threatened with a lawsuit by the hybrid project, so they changed to linkin park. it is a name of a New York park: Lincoln park but they changed their name from it to LINKIN PARK but spelled different.
it is in Washington D.C. , AMERICA
It means that his girlfriend left him and he's never spent a Valentine's day by himself or in other words been without a girlfriend on V-day
That's a good answer and all, but, acctually, Chesters father died on valentines day, or one of his family members, im sure it was his dad though, hence a line from the song "And the ground below grew colder As they put you down inside"
He is 34 as of today (February 22, 2011). He was born on February 11, 1977.
If anyone was to be considered the leader of Linkin Park, it would be Mike Shinoda. He is the backbone in the writing and producing process.
I can't disagree with that Mike is after all my favorite guy in the band. As far as singing goes Chester is the leader. As far as being the one leader of the band overall it's Mike.
Here you go:
From The Inside
I don't know who to trust no surprise
(Everyone feels so far away from me)
Heavy thoughts sift through dust and the lies
(Trying not to break but I'm so tired of this deceit)
(Every time I try to make myself get back up on my feet)
(All I ever think about is this)
(All the tiring time between)
(And how trying to put my trust in you just takes so much out of me)
[Chorus]
Take everything from the inside and throw it all away
'Cause I swear for the last time I won't trust myself with you
Tension is building inside steadily
(Everyone feels so far away from me)
Heavy thoughts forcing their way out of me
(Trying not to break but I'm so tired of this deceit)
(Every time I try to make myself get back up on my feet)
(All I ever think about is this)
(All the tiring time between)
(And how trying to put my trust in you just takes so much out of me)
[Chorus]
Take everything from the inside and throw it all away
'Cause I swear for the last time I won't trust myself with you
I won't waste myself on you
You
You
Waste myself on you
You
You
I'll take everything from the inside and throw it all away
'Cause I swear for the last time I won't trust myself with you
Everything from the inside and just throw it all away
'Cause I swear for the last time I won't trust myself with you
You
You

as the last person falsley stated. linkin park is INDEED breaking up thank you TMZ and not just tmz but I have a friend that is a roading for them. He stated that they are getting tired and are bickering and fighting way too much that by the end of this year linkin park will be no more.
as reported by the drummer himself, he stated that I cant take this and if they are going to boss me around like they are I quit.. and they wsaid if he quits i quit too.. much like what happened to the beatles. so To answer the question YES they are breaking up but most likley not till 2012.

The interpretation of Linkin Park music is supposed to be left to the listener. What do you think it means?
Many famous singer have sang with Linkin Park. Some examples are:
Emo was originally is a subgenre of hardcore punk which emerged from the DC hardcore movement on the 1980s. This music was chaotic and incredibly passionate. In the 1990s, the genre evolved into two waves: "screamo" pioneered by Saetia, and "Midwestern emo," which combined some of the earlier emo characteristics with elements of indie rock.
Nowadays the term emo is often misappropriated to pop-punk and mainstream rock bands with emotional lyrics, such as: Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance, Panic at the Disco, and Paramore.
These However Are The Best Emo Bands (In My Opinion):
Eyes Set To Kill
Red Jumpsuit Apparatus
Some true emo bands are:
