Leopard Gecko's really like mealworms. However, don't feed the gecko too many, as the meal worms are like candy to them. Too much candy, and what happens to you? You get sick. It's the same with leopard geckos and mealworms. I recommend giving it 2-3 a day.

How do garden lizards give birth?

Male and female reptiles do not have external genitalia to help owners determine the sex of a herp. Males and females do possess different reproductive organs, however. The male possesses two testicles, housed inside the body. The male also has a copulatory organ, either a single penis (turtles and tortoises, crocodilians) or a pair of hemipenes (lizards, snakes) that can often be seen as two bulges behind the cloaca at the base of the tail. The penis or hemipenis is not connected to the urinary tract, and is strictly an organ of reproduction. Lizards and snakes can be sexed by the use of a probe that is inserted into the cloaca, directed towards the tail, off of the midline. The probe will travel farther in the male than in the female.

How often should i feed my horned lizard?

Well, they may live for around about a week or so. But feeding them everyday will be great. They eat approximate 100 Harvester ants a day. But DO NOT FEED THEM SOMETHING TOO BIG!!! If they eat anything too large there digestive system can't take it, and they might die. Though, try to make sure there main food is Harvester ants. Or meal worms (they may not eat them) but maybe more for treats. Good Luck!!!

How do you tell if a western fence lizard is carrying eggs?

This depends on the type of lizard it is, but there are some general rules that apply to many species.

Female lizards tend to be longer and slimmer than males, lighter in weight, and have a smaller head than the males. In some species, the male is more brightly coloured, in order to attract the female, and often certain markings such as coloured throats will become more pronounced in colour during breeding season.

When looking at the underside of the lizard, males have a small bulge between the end of the abdomen and the tail. Also, the appearance of the femoral pores is different. Femoral pores are small openings lining the bottom of a lizard's legs. In males, they are located near the bulge at te base of the tail, generally in a 'V' shape, and darker in colour than the surrounding scaly skin. Female femoral pores cannot be seen as easily.

What is the life cycle of a green basilisk lizard?

A basilisk starts out as a chicken egg, but then is hatched by a toad rather than a chicken. They can live for hundreds of years, but I don't know if they can reporduce as they are born from chicken eggs. Eventually, they will die naturally or be killed by someone awesome like Harry Potter.

Can Dragons exist?

There are different opinions on the answer to this question. Some people believe they once existed, but most feel they are works of fantasy. Discovery Channel made a documentary style movie called Dragon's World: A Fantasy Made Real. This movie actually caused confusion in some people who thought this was a real documentary presented by Discovery with actual facts. However, this docudrama was made for entertainment purposes only. The scientists were played by actors. It was advertised as an "alternate history".

There has never been a confirmed case of a dragon remains being found. There have been claims, but they have been found as incorrect or fabricated thus far. There are still other ancient reptilian skeletons that have yet to be identified. Many dragon lovers still hold out hopes that these could be them.

Some people feel that the fact that dragons are known in the history of almost every area of the world in much more than a coincidence. There are Asian versions of dragons, which are wise and benevolent creatures. According to some European folklore, dragons were eating maidens and then being slayed by knights in retribution. There were American Indian tribes who had stories of fire breathing reptiles burning fields and flying away with buffalo. Dragons are depicted in ancient art from all over the world. Many of these societies had no contact with each other.

There are some that say there have been many fantastical creatures in this world. Some of these people believe that dragons, unicorns, and other creatures are highly intelligent and sensitive beings who are in hiding from humans and may come back some day. There are others that say there is no definite proof because they do not, and never have, existed.

Dragons have filled stories from the times of King Arthur and Saint George to modern times. They are in popular culture. Some best sellers of our time, Eragon and Harry Potter, are full of dragons.
