Nope... canned vegetables are suspended in brine. Brine is essentially salt water - which will eventually cause the lizard harm. ONLY feed raw vegetables (sparingly) - and their natural diet of insects.

To save any reptile from duct tape or sticker traps: find some cooking spray such as Pam and gently spray the feet and/or underbelly of the lizard. Avoid the eyes and mouth. The spray should remove the stick and the lizard will be mutually uneffected. Very gently run your fingernail on the tape under the gecko's feet, then belly.

Sadly, younger reptiles may be already in shock, or scared into shock from the experience, and may die from the shock alone. Certain lizards, especially geckos, will probably drop their tail if it is applied to the tape. Provided the tail does not separate directly at the base of the tail, the gecko will recover.

The male and female mate and the female lays eggs. I'm not sure how many are layed at a time though. Possibly ten or more.

This sounds like the "eft" stage, or terrestrial stage of the red-spotted (eastern newt). The Eft stage may last anywhere from 1-7 years. Notice the fin-like quality of its tail. The eft stage is between the larval stage and the adult aquatic stage.

Newts are not venomous. They are, however, poisonous, which means that if you eat them, bad things will happen. A newt's skin is covered in chemicals that taste nasty, make you vomit, and can possibly kill you, if eat a newt.

I use celery, cheese or carrot with peanut butter on it and shove a short piece of toothpick into it. You can get it to fit over the triggering mechanism making it dang near impossible to get off. You'll see :)
