Electronic Arts, the publishers for The Sims games, have confirmed that The Sims 3 will be published for both Macs and PCs, with both versions on the same disc in the retail box. This means you can walk into any games shop that sells PC games, and pick up a version that will run on the Mac.
Whether it will run on your MacBook will depend on a number of factors. If it is a MacBook Pro, it should run well, depending on the age and power of your particular machine; as all MacBook Pros have dedicated graphics cards they should be fine.
If you have a MacBook (non Pro), then you may not be able to run it. The white and black polycarbonate MacBooks have had integrated graphics chipsets which are poor performers in games, with the exception of the most recent white MacBook which sports a GeForce 9400 integrated chipset. All aluminum (unibody) MacBooks have a GeForce 9400.
To find out which graphics chipset your Mac uses, go to the Apple menu (at the top-left of the screen). Choose "About This Mac". When this appears, click "More Info". When the System Profiler appears, click Graphics/Displays on the left. Generally, a chipset produced by NVidia or ATI should be fine; a chipset by Intel will likely not perform well.
Macs and any other non-Windows systems such as Linuxes are susceptible to contracting a malware infection, it's just that the probability of this happening is very low. Please, Google the answer to your question first and if you can't find one, ask it here. Otherwise, you are just reposting the same questions other people have asked.

Try rebooting and immediately after the boot chime hold down the Shift key, keep holding it down until you get a grey Apple Logo stating your now in safe boot mode. It will do a repair in the background while it's booting up so it may take several seconds. Simply reboot to go back into regular boot mode.
If you have an older model dig out your MacOS installCD/DVD that came with the computer and boot to it and go into Disk Utility and "Repair Disk". Keep repairing it until no more errors come up.
If you have one of the newer computers that didn't come with a disk then boot into the "Repair Partition" and do the same.
If it comes out clean then you may just have an application software issue.
If Disk Utility says it can't fix the error then you may need to buy a disk repair software like "DiskWarrior" or "TechToolPro" to help out.
Worst case scenario if you don't have a back up then you can always do an "Archive and Install" to reinstall the Operating System with out erasing the important files.

It depends on the model. Certain ones, like the 2012 MacBook Pro I am using, still have DVD drives. My 2013 MacBookPro with Retina Display at home, on the other hand, does not. Apple has been making an effort to phase out DVD/CD-R drives on multiple MacBook models due to their size and the prevalence of streamed media.
