How much defense do you need in Mafia Wars?
As of today, 12 Jul 2009, both attack and defense are added together to calculate your combat rating. So at this point it does not matter what your defense is, but it DOES matter what your COMBINED total is.
That said, the recommended number for BOTH Attack and Defense is approx 2X your level. So until the combat formula is changed, you should be in good shape as long as Attack+Defense=4*Level.

Which job in Mafia Wars uses the private jet to complete?
One of the other posts I read said you get it as loot from the Mexican Cartel job in the boss tier. I don't know if this is true though - I did all of the Mexican Cartel job a while back and still have a highlighted private jet (airline pilot image) on the Travel to the Old Country job (I can't remember anymore what loot I did get from the Cartel job). Sorry, I don't know if this answer will be useful. But when I figure it out I'll come back and post about it!

You can win a hit by becoming a hired gun and knocking out the person on the hitlist. You have to be stronger and have better weapons then the person on the hitlist to complete the hitlist objective just like in a fight against other mafias.

When can you rob or heists in Mafia Wars?
Heists were renamed as Robberies after a legal battle between Mafia Wars and Mob Wars. The way to do one before they were disabled was from a player's profile page. Where the options appear "attack", "sucker punch" etc, there was an option "rob" which brought up a list of the player's properties and how well defended they were.
It has not been announced when Robbery will be reintroduced. Possibly with or after the Bangkok update around Christmas.

well i love yoville i have been playing it ever sence i had fb for and i have played yoville for about 3 years if not more i go on almost every day i was wondeering the same thing as you but when i got to leval 50 it stoped and i could not leval up so i thought there was no sence of playing but a few months later i went on and i went to work and i got on to leval 51 RIGHT KNOW I AM ON LEVAL 63 i just got there bout 10 min ago i dont know how high they go i think it goes up to leval 70 .. than if zynga has lots of people at the high leval they will add more leval .
