Can you fire 44 Special and or 44 mag out of a 444 Marlin rifle?
No, you can not. The 44 Special can be fired in any firearm chambered and marked for the 44 Magnum cartridge. The 444 Marlin is a rifle cartridge (much longer than either the 44 Spl or 44 Mag), and is much more powerful. The 44 Spl and 44 Mag. were designed as handgun cartridges, but have been adapted to a small number of lever-action carbines. Bert H.
Magazine for a marlin glenfield 25?
Marlin still sells them, but I've seen them at Gander Mountain. Make sure the release lever is on magazine before you buy, Marlin had a bad batch w/o them made and distributed accidentally.

What is the year of a 22 SLLR Glenfield marlin model 25?
Before asking these questions one might search the list to see if this question had been asked and answered.
An iteration of a answer on this is "from 1968- 1973 the year is the first two digits in the (sic) serial from after 1973 subtract the first two digits from 100 (ex 2011645 - 100-20=80). before 1968 there are no serial # on .22 cal firearms."
This should help you determine the year of manufacture in regard to Glenfield/Marlin model 25.
As an example: my dad bought me a Glenfield/Marlin 25 from the local JCPenney for 42usd. I do not know why I remember that but maybe it was a lot of money in those days.
My serial number is 72422xxx, I will not show the last three digits of my serial for the sake of privacy.
My serial started with a 72 for the year 1972. That is correct because he bought it for me as a gift the spring of 1972; for rabbit hunting.
Some would say the Glenfield had no swivels for a sling but mine did and some would say the trigger should have been black but mine is chrome. Just some added information.
Good luck and peace be to the journey!
How hard does a marlin 35 Remington kick?
well that's a hard question. its all a scientific equation with the weight of gun bullet and length of barrel. it also has to do with add ons (barrel break merckury ttube(s) and butt pad) also lever semi or bult. on averiage a little less than a 12 gage straight out of the box how ever a semi autto will not kick as much as a single action.
My Marlin Model 336CS in 35 Cal with the 200gr bullets has a surprisingly light kick
How do you install an extractor for Glenfield Model 30A?
Disassembling a Marlin Glenfield 30A action for cleaning and maintenance.
Field stripping the Action of a Marlin Glenfield 30A..
First visually make sure the weapon is unloaded by opening the action and checking the chamber and feed ramp for cartridges..
Leave the action fully open and lay the rifle on a clean flat surface such as a padded bench or table..
Using a good quality tight fitting flat blade screwdriver remove the lever pivot screw..
Pull the lever free of the bottom of the action and out of the frame..
Grasp the bolt and pull it rearward out of the frame..
The EXTRACTOR is a single stamped piece of spring steel that grips around the bolt and is removed by carefully prying it free..
Clean the bolt with solvent and a small brush then wipe dry and apply a small amount of heavy gun oil or petroleum jelly to the machined depression in the bolt where the extractor grips it and also to the new extractor..
Push the new extractor onto the bolt until it is seated completely then check for proper clearance of the claw to the bolt face by placing a spent shell on the bolt face..
If the claw does not grasp over the rim of the shell and hold it in place over the bolt face try to wiggle the extractor at the point it clips onto the bolt to make sure it is seated properly..
If this fails to achieve the proper clearance you may need to remove the extractor and file the claw until it grasps the rim of the shell correctly..
Wipe away any excess lubricant and apply a light coating of gun oil to the entire bolt..
Clean the inside of the frame with gun solvent and a brush taking care to clean around the ejector lever in the back of the action.. You can remove the ejector by simply pushing on its post which is visible at the rear outside flat opposite of the ejection port.. Wipe dry and lightly lubricate all contact surfaces inside the frame..
Reassemble the bolt back into the frame the same way it came out and reinsert and attach the lever with the pivot screw..
