Have H&A 32cal with serial number z249 .How old and whats it worth.

Depending on the year brand the Model 60 can hold 14 to 18 rounds.

During the late-1980s, the capacity of the rifle was reduced to a 15 round maximum limit, to meet New Jersey's firearms law for semi-automatic assault weapons. For a few years in the mid-1980s the Model 60 rifles had both the "last shot hold open" feature and also held 18 rounds in the tube magazine.

1. Point the Gun in a Safe Direction

2. Put the Safety On

3. Push Slide Release

4. Slide Forearm All the Way Back

5. Verify the Gun Is Empty

6. Slide Forearm Half Way Forward

7. Loosen Barrel Retaining Cap On the End of the Magazine

8. Remove Barrel By Pulling Straight Forward

9. Tap Out 2 Trigger Assembly Retaining Pins (Right to Left) Using a Brass Punch

10. Remove Trigger Assembly By Pulling Straight Out of the Receiver

11. Remove 2 Magazine Cartridge Stops From Grooves in the Side Of The Receiver

12. Squeeze the Rear of the Cartridge Carrier Until Both Sides Come Off of the Pivot Pins

13. Move Forearm, Cartridge Carrier, and the Bolt Forward and Out of the Receiver

At a good gunsmith's shop. Maybe Numrich's Gun Parts (search gunpartscorp)

For the complete trigger guard assembly, including trigger, safety, springs, pins etc., you can get it from Numrich, Midway USA, Brownells or direct from Marlin. If it's just the trigger or other individual trigger guard parts you need, you'll have to get those from Numrich for a different model Marlin.

You can order striker springs from Wolf Springs that will reduce the trigger pull significantly but it is recommended you don't use that weapon as a service piece.

The gun weight itself is 6 lbs.
