The efficiency depends primarily on size (different manufacturtes have use similar designs). Bigger Gas Turbines tend to more effiecient. Additional factors such as waste heat recovery and heat exchangers can improve the system efficiency (but not the effiecency of the actual Gas Tubine).

Note that the above comment does not make the Avon a bad unit its simply the case that it is designed primarily for a high power to weight ratio. Air conditioner system senses the room temperature and then decides how much cooling has to be provided to room as per the setting. Say u need only 20 degree Celsius only.
To elaborate, in a closed loop system, the output in some way shape or form is fed back into the input of the control system. With an air conditioning system, the output is temperature. This temperature is read, and fed back into the control system to determine if additional cooling is needed or not.
An example of an open loop system would be if you programmed the air conditioning to turn on from 11AM to 5PM, then turn off. The output of the system (temperature) doesn't effect the input (when the system runs).

the main difference between them is the way that energy is added to the fluid to be converted to pressure increase.
In dynamic pumps, energy is added to the fluid continuously through the rotary motion of the blades. These rotating blades raise the momentum of fluid and the momentum then is converted to pressure energy through diffuser in pump outlet.
In positive displacement pumps, the energy is added periodically to the fluid. the pump has reciprocating motion by pistons for example. When the fluid enters the pump through valves, the reciprocating piston begins to press the fluid resulting in going out of the pump with pressure rise.

Different tests performed on transformers?
There's not a lot to go wrong in a transformer. You can test with an ohm meter (resistance meter) to check that the wires aren't broken if you know what the connections are. It will read low around 10 ohms if the wires are OK and will read very high if they aren't.
However there is a slight possibility that if it is damaged some of the wires may have shorted out so it will still read OK but will overheat when you put full power on it. So you need to power it up and check the output is what it should be with a voltmeter set on AC for a suitable scale.
Be careful not to electrocute yourself.
