Your menstrual flow comes out via your vaginal opening.

The vaginal opening is at the bottom/back of your vulva, between your urethra (where you urinate from) and your anus (where you deficate from) - the vaginal opening is the same hole that vaginal discharge comes out of. Women wear menstrual pads during menstruation, the purpose of these is to collect menstrual flow as it leaves the body in order to prevent it getting onto clothing. Some women will use pads before their period starts to be ready, and even when using tampons they still have to alternate with pads.

There can be many reasons for your period to be delayed.

I assume that you mean you are 52 years old and have experienced vaginal bleeding after a year without any. It may be that you're going through menopause and either experiencing irregular ovulation as your reproductive organs wind down or it may be bleeding as a result of hormonal changes. It may be a good idea to mention the bleeding to your doctor to confirm what's happening.

At the beginning, when you first get you're period, it's very likely that it won't follow the 28 day schedule. It usually doesn't start to become regulated until your mid-twenties or even thirties. Even then, you may not be regular - stress affects your period, as does health.

its not her period, there is a layer of skin in the vagina that you break through when you have sex. that is whats bleeding. it will stop.

Well this is happening to me this exact moment.... The doctor gave me provera to help my period come down... I'm not sure if this will help on the long run because this happened to me last year and now I'm in the same situation.... Just take the the pills and hopefully it will help your period come down every month regularly

It is not necessarily abnormal, but should be discussed with your doctor anyway.

i would suggest you see a doctor he will answer all your questions and put your mind at ease

females bleebing after their fist time of sexual intercourse can be quite common. the reason for this is because when a girl first has sex her hymen (cherry) pops this is a thin layer of skin/flesh, this is what courses her to bleed. (note. not all girls bleed because hymen is to thin or have masterbated or been given oral sex which has already popped it)
