Not really. Only licensed methadone clinics are able to use methadone to treat addiction. If you have a chronic pain issue, you may be able to get it from a pain doctor. Otherwise you must attend a methadone clinic. At first you go daily, but after 90 days you can begin to earn takehome doses and by the time you have been there for one year you can go once a week. In many states you can earn up to a month's worth of takehomes, within 2 years' time.

Most likely you have the wrong drug listed as what is showing in the drug screen... I don't believe that methadone would show in a drug screen for percocet. Percocet is made of two active ingredients, Tylenol and oxycodone. oxycodone is derived from morphine, so it is possible that morphine may show in the drug test when percocet is taken.

Depending on what milligram you are on and how fast you want off it! I was on 80 mgs a day i detoxed 2 mgs a week it took me 10 months but i did it i got all the way down to 3 mgs and i never went back i suffered NO bad nights at all!! It was the best thing i ever did' so if you have the opportunity to do it slow the slower the better

I was on heroin for 3 years//was on other drugs such as cocaine/pills ect but heroin is what got me stuck inw ithdrawls. so I got on the methadone program and I am up to 145mg and feel great! im not high I just feel normal... like before I was on drugs and guess what to feel normal feel WONDERFUL to me!

Any kind of opiate/opioid. Opiates are extracted from plants in the natural form, while opioids are made in a laboratory setting. There are also somi-synthetic opioids that are changed only slightly from the naturally occurring opiates in Oriental Poppies.

Things like oxycodone, oxycontin(lortab), delaudid, heroin, percocet, etc will be identified as opiates in your system, which is what a morphine test tests for. After they discover the drug in your system, they can use more refined testing methods to find out which one/s have been ingested. I have had much experience in drug testing after being falsely accused of being an addict to Heroin and Methamphetamine. The myth that you can get a false positive from poppy seeds is bull. You can take basically any of the popular over the counter medicines you want for a headache while taking methadone. Tylenol, Advil, Aspirin they are all safe to take while taking methadone. I made sure by contacting several pharmacist and asking. They all confirmed the safety of taking them together.

Not really a question. Any overdose may cause death or stop the heart. Depending on how long the event was, there could and probably will be brain damage and if the brain is deprived of oxygen long enough brain death occurs. There can be enough damage that the person is no longer there but the body still functions.

Well, it depends. Methadone is prescribed for pain management but it depends on what your looking to do. If you are trying to get off of opiates then I doubt he would recommend Methadone for 6 Vicodins a day because that is not that bad of an opiate habit and methadone is alot stronger than Vicodin so there would be no point in going from Vicodin to methadone if your trying to get off opiates. But if you are looking to get better pain management because the 6 Vicodin 10mg's are not enough or are not working, than yes your doctor may follow your surgeons recommendation. From all the people I know who take methadone for pain management, they all love it because they can function more and do not get as "high" and as tired, but it really works well for pain.

Do NOT take methadone to get off Suboxone. Taper off Suboxone over 10 days. Cut the pills in eighths if you have to. Taking methadone for 5 days will only give you 2 addictions
