That is true but anyone knows that, I think the lad wanted to know the cultural differences and why they fought each other. Well, for one the Mexicans were Catholic and the Texan's were Protestant (It may seem like a strange reason for war, but look back at the Hundred Year war in the Medieval times, they fought over it.). Second reason would be slavery which Mexico abolished in 1829 (Yes, even we fought against are selves for that reason (kinda :P)) And my third would be on 1830 Mexico slapped a heavy tax on importation of American goods and the Mexicans even came into Texas to enforce Mexican laws, yet they underestimated the Texans and were pwned (First of anyway). And those are some of the differences and reasons Mexico and Texas didn't like each other.
