What is the different between sas and spss?
They have a lot of similarities. Both are powerful data preparation and statistical packages. Here, 'data preparation' means
. Reading data from outside systems, external files, or sometimes entering it interactively
. Under program control, carry out such operations as combining data from different sources; checking for invalid data; transforming, e.g. by calculating one new field (called 'variables' in both systems) from one or more others; summarizing data, where that is appropriate for analysis
Both can be characterized as 'sort-merge' DBMS's: The standard file is rectangular, corresponding to a table in RDMSs; most operations read and operate on the entirety of one file. (This approach is obsolete for most purposes, but is appropriate for statistical packages that do generally process files as a whole.)
Statistics, for both, are carried out by a library of statistical procedures that are part of each system. The input to any statistical procedure is a proprietary-form file (SAS term is 'dataset'; SPSS uses various terms, including 'dataset' in memory, 'saved file' on disk). Running any procedure produces the statistics it's capable of, generally modifiable by options given when invoking the procedure.
Broadly, SPSS is easier to use and SAS is more powerful. SPSS can be run by code in the language it supports, but it also can be run through a powerful menu-driven facility; SAS has nothing like that.
SAS is harder to program, but supports effects that are awkward to get in SPSS, for example writing multiple files from a single pass through a single data stream.
And it's been fun watching them take ideas from each other.

Can you press a button on the formula bar if you make a mistake while in editing mode?

How do you split excel sheets to many worksheets?
One method is to copy a worksheet as many times as you would like to split data. If you have a worksheet that contains three sets of data you would like to display on separate sheets, then copy the sheet two more times, so you have three total copies. On each sheet, delete the data you do not want to display on that sheet. Repeat the process for all sheets, until each sheet contains only the data you want to display on that worksheet.
What is used for importing into excel data that is stored on a website?
The traditional method of creating a web query uses the New Web Query menu command found on the Data menu under Import External Data.
See related links for examples.
How do you put 10 to the 5 power in excel?

How do you spell automatically for an amount in Excel format?
If you mean to change numbers into the word equivalents, like 7 into seven, that cannot be done. Even though we only have 10 digits, there are an infinite amount of numbers with all sorts of names, so it is not possible to do it for all numbers. You could do it for a small range, say 1 to 20, but to do it for all numbers is not practical.
To do it for 1 to 20, you could do it as follows. In A1 type in the word "Number" and in the cells from A2 to A21 type the numbers 1 to 20. Then in B1 type in "Words" and in B2 to B21 type the corresponding words to the numbers beside them.
Then in A25 type a number. In B25 enter the following formula:
=VLOOKUP(A25,A2:B21,2)
Now any time you type a number between 1 and 20 into A25, B25 will show the word for it. If you then think of having to do that for more numbers, you can see how impractical it would be. Even this will only work for numbers put into A25, not any other cell. So for many reasons, it could not be done.

In a spreadsheet, a cell or a group of cells can be given a name to make them easier to reference. So a list of sales in cells for B2 to B25, could be give the range name "Sales" which could then be used in formulas instead of the cell range reference. This makes it easier for users instead of having to remember what cells a range is made up of. The first of these two would be easier to remember and makes the formula a lot clearer:
=SUM(Sales)
=SUM(B2:B25)

How can you identify if a cell in Excel contains a number as opposed to a formula?
There are a few things you can do. Go to the Tools Menu, then pick Options, the View and down near the bottom left there is a tickbox beside Formulas. If you tick it and then click OK, all your formulas will be displayed. One problem is that it will widen out some of the columns in order for the formulas to show properly. So if you don't want that to happen and are just interested in seeing one particular formula, then to see an individual formula, just click on the cell and the formula will be shown in the formula bar near the top of the screen. Another option is to press the F2 key when you are on the cell and it will show the formula in the cell.
There is also an option to select cells that are formulas. Open the Edit Menu and click Go To. Then click Special. There is an option there that you can click that will highlight the cells that have formulas.
