How do you improve your two mile run time?

You have to run longer distance. You should run 3 miles. Run 3 miles three times a week. when you ran at least a month, you'll see very big results. Once you ran for at least 3 weeks, you can start running 4 times a week. But on the 4th time, don't run 3 miles, run 1 mile as fast as you can.

If you feel that you can't run 3 miles in a good pace, run 2.5 miles for beginning than you can increase it to 3 miles. ( remember run in a pretty fast pace, not too slow and not to fast )

PS: don't run everyday it will get you very tired so your body will not recover that fast and because of that you won't see anY progress.

What are the best shoes for running on an all-weather track?

well it depends on the type of event you want to do. if you are doing sprints then i would recommend using sprinting spikes which are super light weight and have only a very thin heel because you don't need to use your heel. but if you are doing longer running events like the 800, 1600, etc., i would use long distance spikes which are the same as sprinting spikes but with a thicker heel because you would run heel- toe

What is the fastest 1500m run time by an 8 year old boy?

in 1975 as an 11 year old boy I ran 1500 metres in 5 mins 7.5 seconds (against 12 year old boys).

This record still stands.

In 1980 my brother, ( Joseph Cromer ) as a 10 year old, ran at Crystal Palace in an under 11 1500 metres, and won with a time of 5 minutes 6 seconds, the race was run as 2 heats, no final, best time wins!! The other lad who won the 1st heat ran 5m.07s.

I was champion of our county at the time with a worse time, and 3 years older ;-)

Four times around.

4 times around a 400m track would equal 1600 meters. 1 mile is equal to 1,609.34 meters. You would need to either start 9.34 meters behind the start line, or run the same distance past the finish line to run one mile (5280ft).

What is the average time a 13 can run 100m?

For a 13 year old girl, a really fast time would be in the 13's. A really fast 13 year old boy's time would be a little faster.

An average time would I guess be around 15.

It also depends on if they just turned 13 or if they're closer to 14.

What is the purpose of mile run?

I think running 15 minutes is a really good thing to do, because the more you run the better you will get. I know it's very hard to run at the begging (semester), but I believe you can do anything if you try. So that's why, while I'm running I always want to start off slowly and build my strength so that I don't get too tired by the end. Practice makes perfect the more you do it the easier it gets.i think running is a great thing for all of us. It gets us moving and its good for your heart.

How many laps on a running track is 0.18642 miles?

It's actually exactly 3/4 of a full lap on a traditional 400M track. One full lap is .2485 miles (400M out of 1609.344M in a mile).

Easiest and best way to look at it is you are going to travel around 3 parts of the track, I assume you are looking at a 300 meter run. It's basically 3 our of 4 major parts of a track. Two straightaways and a curve or two curves and one straightaway will give you the number you are looking for (as each part of the track is 100 meters or .06213 miles (.06213*3=.18642)).

What track lane to use when running a mile?

On a standard track, one would run on the inside lane and do four complete laps to run 1600 meters (app one mile). The runners who run in any of the outer lanes get a staggered start (head start) to make up for the distance that one loses because of the wider turns. So, just stay on the inside lane and do four laps.
