There is a setting in TooManyItems that allows for unlimited items in Survival Single Player. All mods work with OS X as well as Windows, by the way. You can find the link for TooManyItems below. It currently doesn't have many uses, that's true. Armour, weapons and tools made with gold do not last long and rarely are more effective than ones made out of Iron. However they are useful for making powered rails, which are needed for long lengths of minecart tracks. Also Minecraft is constantly expanding, so there may be more use for gold coming up.

If MineCraft won't work for you then try this if your a Mac user I suggest that you restart your mac and go to the site again.(Tip) It only works once so if you go on multiplayer then to single player you have to reset your mac every time you want to play it.

You dont, unless you have the single player commands mod. Which i suggest you download. That is, if you want to enter cheat codes in survival mode minecraft.

You don't make it. You find an npc (non-player character) village and give the priest a diamond and he will give you a bottle o chanting.
