Click the multiplayer button, then click add server, type in the server address and what you want to name the server, then click ok, and click on the server that pops up.

You cannot find Israphel's castle in a minecraft world unless you build it or download a MCedit schematic or the yogscast map where the castle is. Unless you do one of those things there is no way you will find that castle in your worlds.

The Classic version of Minecraft is free.

You will need to go to the Minecraft website and create a free account. Then on the homepage you can choose to play a single player classic server or a multiplayer classic server.

The full version of Minecraft requires you to buy the game. Once bought, you can play survival and creative modes which give much more features than classic version. You can either play alone or join a public server.

One mod installer there is, and the most famous one by the way, is MCpatcher. But it only allows you to install things like TMI and modloader, but it also makes your minecraft compatible with HD textures. Another famous one is nitrous, and this one also works to put GLSL shaders in your minecraft (super HD graphics card required, though). To run it, simply install it in your computer, and open it. It will tell you to browse for your minecraft jar file (WARNING: this must be a jar file, and not any other kind of file). When you locate your jar, (in your bin folder where it always is...) you have to open it with the installer, (some installers, like the zombe mod installer, locate the jar on their own, so try to look for one that does that for the easiest installing) and then select the mods you would like to install. Some installers require that you select mods that you have already downloaded to your computer, and others bring their own mods (again, like the zombe mod one). When they are done installing, sit back and enjoy playing minecraft with your brand new mods!

Note that some big mods can't be installed through installers, and you have to install them by hand, there are many youtube tutorials on how to do this, though, so you'll be fine.

Build the map on Creative Mode then go to seedscope.net and upload your level.dat for the map on the Change Survival to Creative option. You should then download the new level.dat. Replace it with the old level.dat and when you start Minecraft, you should see that it is now a survival map.

The best map seeds vary depending on everybody's personal opinions.

Some people like mountainous seeds, others like large oceans, some prefer scenic waterfall caverns and so on.

It's impossible to say which Minecraft seed is the best because seeds are infinite.

You can get the client from the website when you register, note that it's a paid account you need to access the 'full' game rather than a premium piece of software.

First off, bottle of water and some Nether Wart. That'll get you an Awkward Potion. Most versatile base potion. From there, either a Glistering Melon or a Spider eye. That'll get you a Potion of Healing or Potion of Poison, respectively. Then, add a Fermented Spider Eye. That'll turn either into a Potion of Harming. For the record, Glistering Melons are made with a Melon slice and a Gold Nugget, and Fermented Spider Eyes are made of a Spider Eye, a Mushroom, and some Sugar. Add Glowstone to a Potion of Harming to get a Potion of Harming 2. Redstone to that to change it back. And, Gunpowder to make any potion into a Splash Potion.

The Fortune enchantment only goes up to level III.

Nether Warts are a type of fungus that grows in the Nether. It is typically found inside Nether Fortresses, it is used as a potion ingredient.

You cannot mine blocks and have them display the cracking animation in Creative. Instead, for convenience, any block, no matter what its strength, instantly breaks when punched.
