iron ore is all over and fairly easy to find. if you are near mountains some may be sticking out the sides, look for tan-ish color sticking out of it. otherwise you have to dig. you can find iron anywhere from just below the dirt layer to the bottom of the map. just dig a staircase down to bed rock, then hold shift and press f3 to see what it says next to the letter y off to the side. go up the stairs till you get to number 12. then just dig straight off to the side in a shaft. you find lots of iron, gold, redstone, coal, and occasional diamonds, caves, or lapis lazuli (blue coloerd gem)

The default is 16x16, but you can use HD texture packs that can go much higher, 64x64, 128x128, 256x256... Etc

Depending on what console you are playing Minecraft on the steps are different.

For Xbox360:

Step 1- Start the game from the Xbox home screen.

turn on the second controller 1st of all, join the world and then make the second player push the start button and he should join. you can also change the splitscreen view by pushing start button and clicking vertical split screen.

chances are you have a dynamic IP. if you do then your external IP will be changing all the time. making it difficult for people to connect. also one thing to keep in mind is that firewall will prevent people from being able to connect. i set up a static ip at my home by calling my isp and asking if it was possible. i also use a separate computer for my server that is DMZ on my router.

Its very simple really, you just have to get TWO controllers, get them to SIGN IN, then open a new or previous world you made, then it will flash on the screen and it will say PRESS START TO JOIN, this is not talking to you, but to the second player! That should work.

First off, what are you even doing with a Windows 2000 operating system? You should get Windows 7. Second, theoretically, it COULD work, but if you're using an original Windows 2000 computer, the graphics card isn't powerful enough. My advice: upgrade. Or wait 2 months for Windows 8.

The world's terrain is generated using a random number, this number is called the 'seed'. Minecraft allows you to enter your own string of text and numbers to use as the seed, like, you could enter your name and see what the terrain looks like. If your seed makes you spawn near something particularly interesting, you can tell other people what you used, and they'll be able to see that specific terrain too.
