You can change your skin on minecraft by going to minecraft.net, signing in, going to profile, then you will see "Change Skin" and a bar where you can browse and upload a skin to your profile. If you need skins, you can go to minecraftskins.com and download some. There's even an option where it says: "upload to minecraft.net" which automatically changes your skin for you.

To make a sword, you will need one stick and two wooden planks, cobblestone, iron (smelted), gold (smelted), or diamond. To craft it, right click the crafting table (assuming you have one) and place the stick on the bottom middle. Next, place the two items said (wooden planks, etc.) one in the middle, one on the top. You can separate them by right clicking to place only one instead of them all.

If you are referring to Minecraft for the Xbox, then yes, you need to have a HD TV to allow splitscreen.

Monster Spawners are found in dungeons, to find a dungeon you need to dig down to a low level <Sometimes they are found at a high level>. If you find one, you will know you have. There is a black block with holes in it, it has a picture of the mob it will spawn inside it. The walls are covered with mossy cobblestone and cobblestone. The best way to find a dungeon is to find a hole that has appeared randomly <You can't have made the hole> and then follow it down until it stops. Then dig (Or Mine) a 4x4 hole down. If you dig down far enough there is a chance you will find a dungeon.
