You need to download an archive manager. It is a file manager that can open and manage files that your operating system can not. The most common ones are 7-zip and WinRAR Archive. In the mod community these are the only archive managers used to download mods.

Minecraft is epic because it shows creativity, survival and, masses of monsters being a unique game, you are able to build pretty much whatever you can imagine. Also, you can meet so many new people in-game. It's truly an amazing game.
