Orks are half in control of Armageddon. What you have to realize is that Orks upon death release spores that is effectively fungi. These will turn into Orks later on. Lesson 101 on Ork reproduction everyone. So any Ork waagh! that invades a world will leave its' descendants in its' wake. There are countless reports of Hive cities having to 'cull' lower sections of their cities because of the fact that Orks still lurk in the depths bellow. Nothing short of full Exteminatus (incendiary devices deployed from orbit to burn the entire planet) can stop the Ork spores from coming back. Thus the Orks technically 'win' in some sense because if you had to burn AN ENTIRE PLANET just to kill the enemy and make the planet inhospitable to life for hundreds of years then your the one loosing out on resources. Not the Orks who just use their crazy technology that shouldn't work to build new things out of wood, metal, rock, scrap, paper etc...

This answer is simple. The horn of Gondor, as stated from The Lord of the Rings Strategy Battle Game Rules Manual, The Horn of Gondor section on page 80 states this... "The blast of Boromir's fearsome hornis enough to drain the bravest foe to resolve. Boromir can blow the horn at the start of a fight if he is outnumbered by two to one or more. The enemy combatan with the gighest Courage must take a Courage test. If this is passed, the combat is fought as normal. Imperial Guard sometimes use the warp as part of their strategy and if they become tainted the Grey Knights would have reason to kill them.

In WH40k a poisonous attack always wounds on the value listed. For a poisonous 4+ attack a roll of 4 or higher will wound regardless of the defender's toughness or the attacker's strength. For close combat attacks if the attacker's strength is equal to or better than the defender's toughness the to wound roll may be rerolled. Note: a poisonous 4+ unit will never wound on a 3 or lower no matter what the strength of the attack or toughness of the defender.

Warhammer 40k works primarily with 25mm models, with 25mm being approximately equal to 1 meter. However, this is the scale of the model's bases, some obviously being bigger, for the bigger models.

It's altogether different though when you look at the size of the tables being played on. The typical table is 4'x6', and when you compare this to the fact that most battles in reality would take place over an area of many square kilometers, the 25mm:1m scale doesn't come close to comparing.

So the Warhammer 40k rule system uses abstract rules and measurements to try capture the scale, but make the game still playable on an average table.

The Eye of Terror is a huge hole in the fabric of space time. It's essentially the biggest pathway to the warp in existence. It houses renegades, aliens, daemons and the traitor legions. It is known in High Gothic as the Occulus Terrabilis.

It is a good idea to do that so the paint will stay on the miniature a bit better. But you could also just paint the miniature black, which will work too but not as good as a spray

It means if your unit takes a wound (after armor saves) you roll a d6. On a 5+ you ignore the wound, -4 take wound as normal. Doesn't work against wound suffered from attacks that normally ignore armor saves, example: AP 1 and 2, power weapons, rending wounds, monstrous creatures, etc.

To date, Games Workshop has not produced a super heavy tank, and nor has Forgeworld. A summary of the blind rule in Warhammer 40K is when shooting USR, the target will take an initiative test, if the target fails the test then the WS & BS are set to 1 until the end of their next turn.

Combat resolution is basically deciding which regiment won a certain combat. You get a number of points equal to the number of wounds you caused, and certain combat resolution bonuses are added (+1 point for a banner, +1 point for the charge etc.) So basically if you charge my unit (+1 for charge), inflict 9 wounds (+9 for wounds) and you also have a banner in your unit (+1) and have 2 extra ranks (+2) you would have a combat resolution of 13. If i would score lower than that, say like 10 then you would win combat and I would have to take a leadership test to see if my models run away.
