What goes up with 2 legs and comes back down with 3?
This is an old and outdated riddle but the official answer is:
Man... young going up.. old with a cane coming down.
How many legs would you have with 2 monkeys 4 pigs and 3 chickens?
you would have 26 legs in total.
well not literally YOU but you get what i mean .. :)
How many legs do 2 monkeys 4 pigs and 3 chickens have all together?
26 if you count a monkey as having 2 legs
30 if you count a monkey as having 4 legs.
monkey 4x2 - 8
pigs 4x4- 16
chicken 3x2- 6
if you want to be smart you could say a monkey has 5, since they walk on 4 and the tail works as one. which will be 32
Although there wouldn't be a "3-legged-cow", the statement implies a mathematical system:
x = number of cows
y = number of chickens (in case you didn't know).
3x + 2y = 301
x + y = 109
Multiply the 2nd equation by 2.
2x + 2y = 218
Subtract the 2 equations:
x = 83 cows
83 + y = 109
y = 26
Therefore, there are 83 cows and 26 chickens, according to the conjecture given.
These are really quite easy...If all animals were horses there would be 4 x 83 ie 332 legs. There is a difference of 150 legs which represents half that number of chickens, ie 75 (so there are 8 horses.)
Check: Does 8 x 4 + 75 x 2 = 182, ie does 32 + 150 = 182? Yes, problem solved without an equation in sight!
Can a chicken survive with a sore leg?
Yes it can. a chicken can live with no head so it can obviously can live with a sore leg
(well it can live with no head for a little while until it loses blood) did you know that when chickens lose their heads they are so energetic. just check on www.youtube.com
2 monkeys four pigs 3 chickens have how many legs?
the answer is twenty six because a monkey originally has two legs not four but if you counted its arms it would be thirty. so either twenty or thirty.
Monkey 1= 2
Monkey 2=2
pig 1 =4
pig 2 =4
pig 3 =4
pig 4 =4
chicken 1=2
chicken 2=2
chicken 3=2
2 monkeys 4 pigs 3 chickens how many legs in all?
twenty six legs in all
4 pigs x 4 legs = 16 legs
3 chickens + 2 monkeys = 10
Total = 26 legs.
Two monkeys 4 pigs and 3 chickens have how many legs?
two monkeys- 4 legs
four pigs- 16 legs
three chickens- 6 legs
equals 26 legs2 monkeys 4 pigs 3 chickens how many legs?
2 monkeys = 4 legs
3 chickens = 6 legs
4 pigs = 16 legs
Total legs = 26
This can be done in your head: If all animals were cows there would be 321 legs. Every cow replaced by a chicken reduces this figure by one.
The total reduction is 97 (321 - 224) so there are 97 chickens (and 10 cows)
Check legs: (97 x 2) + (10 x 3) = 194 + 30 = 224. QED
If you have 2 monkeys 4 pigs 3 chickens how many legs are there?
Two monkeys = four (2 legs x 2 monkeys)
Four pigs = sixteen (4 legs x 4 pigs)
Three chickens = six (2 legs x 3 chickens)
All together there are twenty six legs.
Do-it-in-your-head method: If all animals were chickens there would be 90 legs. There are 20 extra legs, each on a cow, so there are 20 cows and therefore 25 chickens.
