Has a chimpanzee ever eaten a human?
No, we share a common ancestor.
99.9% of all biologists understand that the evidence provided by Anthropology, Archeology, DNA and Genetic Sequencing show without a doubt that humans and chimpanzees have diverged from a common ancestor.
Although it has commonly been stated in the past that humans and chimpanzees have 98.5% DNA similarity, this figure has recently been found to be incorrect. Newer research has suggested that there is approximately 96% genetic similarity between Humans and chimpanzees overall.
Of course the fine details depend on what specific chromosomes one is looking at. Although 96% of the DNA is similar overall, there are some very significant differences in some chromosomes, where other chromosomes are nearly identical. Specifically, 18 of the chromosomes of humans are nearly identical to those of chimpanzees, the rest are very different (eg: chromosomes 4, 9, 12, 21, and y).
Some specific examples of differences include:
1) Humans have 23 pairs of chromosomes in total while chimpanzees have 24.
2) Chimpanzees and other apes have telomeres about 23 kilobases long, whereas humans are completely unique among primates with much shorter telomeres only 10 kilobases long.
3) The Y chromosome in chimpanzees is smaller than that of humans and only 60% of the genes are similar to those of the y chromosome of humans.

A monkey that lives in the desert?
Yes, there are some species of monkeys that live in the deserts of Africa and Asia.
Is a monkey a vertebrate or invertebrates?
Yes.
Any animal with a backbone (spine) is a vertebrate. That includes all mammals, reptiles, fish and birds. It excludes living creatures like worms, insects, ants, bees, sea urchins, jellyfish etc.
Monkeys have spines and they are therefore vertebrates.
yes a monkey is a vertebrate because humans originated from apes so they too have a backbone like us! So it is a vertebrate!
Do monkeys have their own language?
As a matter of fact, they can. Monkeys and other primates haven't spoken out loud yet, scientists believe their vocal chords are not capable of that, but some monkeys including gorillas and chimpanzees can speak sign language. They were taught to understand American sign and English. They were taught to sign American sign language. Maybe in the future, they can. I hope so. Wouldn't that be awesome?! To talk to a gorilla?!
Why are Philippine tarsiers rare?
Tarsiers are a cute, adorable and curious set of primates once widespread in South East Asia, but now limited within certain islands. What makes them unique is their huge eyes each equal to the length of their brains. Coming to your question, the main reasons why they are declining is the destruction of rain forests and hunting. At least, that is what is thought!
Despite It's Name, It Does NOT Mainly Eat Monkeys. I Think The Name Is From The Harpy Eagle Because It Is Thought To Be Related To The Harpy Eagle. It Mainly Eats Colugos, Fruit Bats, Civets, Lizards, Snakes And Even Other Birds Of Prey. They Very Occasionally Eat Monkeys. (Look Above To See They Do Not Eat Monkeys SO Much.) The Hunting Of Monkey Eating Eagles To Hunt Down Monkeys Are To Have 2 Eagles To Work Together And Kill The Monkey(s). 1 Eagle Flies Around To Confuse The Monkey(s). The Other One Will Go For 1 Monkey And Kill The Monkey.
Can you catch any diseases from handling a bat?
== == == == Yes! Probably the most obvious would be rabies.
How do you pass level 7 in monkey go happy 4?
Not entirely true. Most human food is not good for them. The require a lot of vitamin C and D3 in their diet. If keeping as a pet, which is not recommended without A LOT of research and a willingness to commit for their 15 to 20 yr lifespan, their diet requires quite a bit of work. They need actual marmoset diet which comes as either a canned diet or a dry food (much like cats or dogs) but it doesn't stop there. You then have to balance in (carefully) fresh fruits, vegetables, protein, insects, etc etc. Each batch you mix up keeps in the fridge for about 3 to 4 days. That is a bunch of shopping for a pet, but anything less is cruel. If their diet is not varied in this way (mimicking what they eat in the wild) they can suffer from Marmoset Wasting Disease.
Also, for people still considering having one (or any monkey as a pet) anyone with a cold or the flu can't be around them, or go near them for 72 hours or they will die. Not get sick, die. Did that lady at the store with the sniffles sneeze on you? Yeah, you have to be that careful.
And they scent mark and smell worse than a ferret.
They are wonderful little animals, but they are better appreciated from afar.
What are the predators of the white bellied sea eagle?
WE ARE. People are the #1 predator to sturgeon but so are Sea Lions & Lampreys. Bass will eat baby sturgeon & many fish will eat sturgeon eggs, like Sculpin.
Sturgeon are susceptible to many diseases and pollution and loss of habitat (by dams) endanger them also.
Where is the smallest monkey in the world?
The Pygmy Marmoset is a very small monkey belonging to be Callitrichidae family of the New World Monkeys and whose scientific name is Cebuella Pygmaea. This tiny primate is native to the rain forests of the Western Amazon Basin, located in South America.
What are facts about sock monkeys?
they love to sneak into your bed and take a nice hot piece of crap on your chest while u are sleeping
A small amount of brain tissue from a person cannot be distinguished from that of a monkey?
98% of our human genetic material is the same as in chimpanzees so it would take detailed analysis to distinguish between human and simian (ape) brain matter.
How long does it take for a baby spider to a an adult spider?
depends on the scorpion breed, but roughly 1 1/2 to 2 years to adulthood from a baby
It all depends. Pet monkeys can cost anywhere from $4000-10000 as a baby and anywhere from $800-5000 for older monkeys (becarful if buying an older one they might be aggressive, you should buy a baby if this is your first monkey).
Chimps on the otherhand start at about $60000 as a baby and around 30000 for older ones.
Please consider buying two monkeys, I know it may seem like a lot but they really need the interaction with other monkeys like them. Not only will obtaining two monkeys be beneficial for them, but also for you because you could leave them alone with each other for a little bit, where as if it was a single monkey it would need attention pretty much 24/7.
If you are getting a pet primates, please do your research on them. I fully agree on having them as pets but some states have outlawed them and or you need a permit to have them. Any level of government can outlaw them so not only check with your state, but your county, and city/town. Go here to know Nutribullet recipes nutribulletrecipes.org
Spider monkeys eat nuts and fruits that grow on large trees. They are hunted down by leopards, pumas, ocelots, and sometimes large birds of prey.
What is the white faced capuchin monkey's life cycle?
Well I would like to help you but need help finding it myself.
How many young do monkeys produce?
Every 2 - 3 years, a mother will give birth to one entirely black baby. No one else besides the mother looks after the baby. The baby is continuously carried by the mother, clinging to her and at about 5 months of age it will begin riding on her back, wrapping its tail around the mother's tail for additional security. It will be dependent on its mother's milk for 2 years. Juveniles at the age of 24 to 50 months old never ride on their mother's back but they will still stay close to her.
A female may raise 4 to 8 babies in its reproductive lifetime. Twins are known to occur but are likely very rare.
How do monkeys choose their leaders?
Usually through battles of strength. A potential leader would challenge the head of the troop, and they would fight until either one of them was defeated. But i do not know if proboscis monkey does. (not confirm yet)
That is certainly possible, even likely, but experimentation with dolphins and whales suggest that we have not even begun to learn about them.
Until we can figure what they do, we cannot determine their intelligence.
Primate-level intelligence seems to have come from the ability to hold things with an opposible thumb. The opposible thumb makes it possible to make tools and weapons. Hand-eye coordination seems to have played a large part in developing primate intelligence. So, dolphins and whales have no opposable thumbs. Does that mean that they cannot be as intelligent as primates? Or could they have become super-intelligent some other way?
monkeys use sign language a specificly found by albertson guanda sil in 1982.lots of animals use this special way of talking to each other.dolphins use sounds like squeals, squeaks, and whistles to talk to each other
