In Charlottesville, an egg left in boiling water for 10 minutes becomes a firm, "hard boiled" egg. On the top of Mount Everest, with a height of 29,029 feet, an egg left in boiling water remains soft indefinitely. The egg fails to cook on Mount Everest because

(A) water boils at low temperature when the air pressure is very low.

(B) water boils at low temperature when gravity is weak.

(C) water has poor thermal conductivity when its pressure is very low.

(D) an egg cannot get very hot when gravity is weak.

Snowdon is the highest mountain in Wales standing at a height of 1,085 metres. There is no list kept for who or how many climb the mountain each year, it is a very popular climb so I expect there are tens of thousands who climb it.

mass is calculated from density of the rock and volume. Everest mainly consists of

limestone (~2.6 kg/cubic m) with layers of dolomite (~2.85 kg/cubic m).

No, but it could. Mount Everest is still being pushed up slightly (5 mm per year) as the subcontinent of India moves northward and folds up the rocks beneath the Himalayas. But erosion is reducing its height by at least that much, and a 2015 earthquake may have dropped the mountain's base by as much as 1 meter, wiping out 200 years of increased height.

The first person to die on Mount Everest was Dorje on the 7th June 1922. He was killed in an avalanche while working with the British Mount Everest Expedition.

He was found by humans one day on an mountain.
