Examples could include, norco, vicodin, Oxycontin, dilaudid, morphine in various strengths depending on the dosage of methadone and how many tabs a day are being taken. Also depending on the dosage of Methadone the strength may be increased or shorther period between doses could be an option. Yes, I have been on Baclofen for close to Ten years now. I was prescribed with Baclofen by my neurologist after it was diagnosed as a residual effect of Guillain Barre Syndrome. I have great things to say about Baclofen and the way it treated my severe M.E symptoms. I have to say that the difference you feel is very gradual. At times you may feel as if nothing is happening but persevere and you should see a positive change. One final piece of advice is to be consistant with your doses, as time goes by, with trial and error you will know what doses work for you but initially always stick to your doctor's specific doses. There has been numerous studies trying to decide if one skeleton muscle-relaxer is more powerful or better than the others. It truly boils down to the specific region the pain is located, some muscle relaxants work better for the lower back than say another one. It's all about the actual muscle pain. Overall, Soma (Carisoprodol) is most likely and is usually looked as the strongest muscle relaxer out there. It is also the most abusable. After ingestion an active metabolite in Carisoprodol is Meprobromate(Miltown). Miltown was a very popular recreational drug of the 50's and 60's, but after research and addiction stories appeared more and more, it was found to be highly addictive and abusable. Miltown was primarily replaced in the 60' by Benzodiazepines, thinking they werent addictive or abusable either, well the same thing happened. Benzodiazepine withdrawals can actually be lethal if the dose is high enough and they have been on it for multiple years. The wd is very similar to severe alcohol wd. A few Benzos, primarily Valiu(Diazepam) and Klonopin(Clonazepam) are very powerful muscle relaxants, but usually prescribed for anxiety relief, as potent anti-convulsants, sedatives, and panic disorders. The actual class of Skeletal muscle relaxers include Cyclobenzaprine- a powerful muscel relaxant that is closely and structurely resembling older tricylic anti-depressants, and is known to take a couple of weeks to have its full effects. It is also presribed off-label as a sleep aid. There is Robaxin(Methocarbamol),probably the least likely abused muscel relaxant. There is also Skelaxin(Metaxolone). It is near cyclobenzoprine in potency and in muscel pain relief. There is Zanaflex(Tizadine), usually prescribed for Fibromyalgia, but is a muscle relaxer classified. It also produces sedation similar to cyclobenzaprine. Overall Carisoprodol as a purely muscle relaxer class drug is the most recreational, abusable, sedative, and addictive. All of the drugs mentioned need prescriptions before they can be taken, but more and more states are making Carisoprodol a schedule IV substance, which includes all of the Benzodiazepines. So to summarize the question, benzos are stronger tahn skeletal muscle relxers overall, but sticking strictly to straight up muscle relaxants, Soma is the strongest.

The exact same thing happened to me last night. The only difference is I had taken 20mg of flexeril around 10pm the night before, then took a little marijuana to help sleep last night. Sure enough, 15 minutes later, all my symptoms were identical to yours. I had to go to the ER which was a waste of time as they pretty much just tried to tell me that the medicinal marijuana I had, must have been laced with something which I know is crap.

How are you feeling now?

i don't know but im doin it tonight , i have a throat infection, it hurts like crazy so the only way im gunna get to sleep is probably by taking 4 (5mg) Valium
