As the live TV final shows progressed through the weeks, it became apparent that Rick might have a chance of winning the whole competition and as if by magic he was suddenly struck down with a mysterious throat infection and had to pull out. I remember the show fondly, though I was in grade-school age. Great show, great videos, and Henry J was the coolest. My Dad and uncle were aspiring cartoonists, and were always drawing up posters for the show, featuring rock stars of the day, and Henry J himself. They were invited on the show a couple of times, and I got to join them on the final episode in October of 1983. Unfortunately, this was months before we got a VCR, so we lost the moment.
