The best speed challenge car for me is Zonda. it is really fast but very expensive. what you do is go to code entry, type UNLOCKALLTHINGS and then go to the main menu then come back to career garage and you will have 240x, GTO, Viper SRT10 and colbatt SS. sell all for $90000. Then restart the game after saving. repeat this process and you will get a lot of money. then buy a Zonda and win it all!!!!!!!

Improvement: Ok, the Zonda is the best car in the game, yes, for grip. The best car that I've found so far since the speed challenge requires more stability than anything is the Lamborghini Murcielago since all wheel drive cars stick better. Since the game creaters weren't all that smart, all cars can only max out at 250 mph so having a car like the Zonda will just make it hard to control at high speeds.

So be smart and buy the Murcielago and you will have the best stability, good downforce, good acceleration, and one awesome speed challenge car that can hit almost every checkpoint at 250

personally i would say that the best speed car is the porche 911 turbo because it has EPIC downforce and also can reach about 235 on average it is very easy to control. the disadvantage about the zonda and the murchialago is that they both have fairly cr*p down force and are thus extremely unstable the zonda yes will reach 250 and so will a ford gt also the Lamborghini does not reach anything more than about 210 without noss, ao i would strongly recommnd the porche 911 I just use a mitsu evo X with all performance lvl 3 and turbo level 4 and lvl 3 tires then I just autoscultpt the bodykit and I have 1016 hp and it's four wheel drive so very controllable. Only problem is that the undercarriage keeps rubbing against the road so there will be sparks underneath but this car will do 250 mph.

Personally, I think another cheaper way is to purchase a lotus elise and then tune it to the max. Don't forget to buy the wide autosculpt (although it looks bad) because it can increase downforce. For me, the elise is great because it is light (850 kg) and it doesn't need any much horsepower (it has 450 bhp). Once you tune it, it will go from 0-100 mph in 8.0/7.9 seconds, and it's acceleration is boundless. Also the car is very light so sometimes it flies. But don't worry, the car can respond to it. Also I recommend you to not use the spoilers.

It is very tricky. off the starting line keep an eye on just above the center of your screen for the little blue/green/red icon. Blue=Ok. Green=Perfect. Red=BAD!!!!!!!!! when you see the Green, Shift Up to the next gear (it's the "Y" button if you on the Gamecube, I don't know about the rest). Sometimes your gonna need to Shift Down to go faster, trust me on this one, Buddy. You don't have to steer the car at all!!!
