What are the SAT scores needed to get into Harvard?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Harvard does not publish the average SAT scores for admitted students. Other Ivy League schools do publish some of their percentages and you will find that around 40 to 50 percent scored 750 or above on each section of the SAT's. That means that the other half of the students must have scores below 750.

In my experience, most applicants have scores above 700 on each section along with a strong GPA, and some other quality that makes their application stand out.

Every student at Harvard is a "star" in something other than great board scores and a great GPA (a sport, musician, national recognition in something, etc..)

I have heard that strong athletes need all three scores above 600 on each section of the SAT with absolutely no C's on their transcript in order to be recruited.

Any student with a strong GPA and scores above 700 or a total of 2100 on all three sections with a unique quality that makes their application shine, should definitely apply to Harvard. If you feel your attributes would contribute to a well rounded student body, Harvard is a great place to be!

What are the 4 main centers in NZ?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

The four main centres are (from north to south, and also in decreasing order of population): Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin.

As an aside, some speak of NZ as having five main centres. Many years ago, some regarded Invercargill as the fifth main centre, but Invercargill has for some time been declining in relative population and importance. At present, the fifth main centre is Hamilton, which has a larger population than Dunedin, but for a long time lost out to nearby Auckland in terms of regional importance.

Hope that helps someone (even if the original questioner has moved on).

Is NYU a commuter school?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

NYU is not strictly a commuter school.

Almost everyone lives in a dorm in their freshman year (although you're allowed to commute too).

In the future years, the amount of people who dorm diminishes but there are always people who do. In fact, I think the majority do.
