Release dates for the Wii U were as follows:
November 18th, 2012 in North America (US/Canada)
November 30th, 2012 in Europe and Australia
December 8th, 2012 in Japan.
In all regions, the Wii U was released in two separate packages:
The basic set included a white 8GB system along with necessary cables and controllers.
The deluxe set included a black 32GB system along with necessary cables and controllers, a charging cradle for the gamepad, stands for the console and gamepad, Nintendo Land, and a digital promotion offering 10% off all purchases from the Nintendo eShop.
It has a gamepad with a touchscreen and it can also have a wireless pro controller and it can have the regular wii remotes. You can chat on the Wii U gamepad. It can also have a HDMI plug on it and high definition graphics
The Wii U supports Wii U games as well as Wii games, though it does not support GameCube games (unless released as a Virtual Console). The Nintendo Wii U has access to the Nintendo eShop which allows you to buy games online including some games released for previous Nintendo consoles (SNES, N64, GBA).
The Wii U currently does not support GameCube controllers but it was announced that Nintendo plans to create an adaptor for this controller.
Refer to this article in WikiPedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Remote_influence
It will be released internationally in Q4 2012 (Holiday Season in North America and October To Christmas in Europe). Nintendo are yet to announce an exact release date.
MSRP of the Wii U Deluxe in the North America is $299.99 USA/CAD
Like most devices of this type, the Wii didn't appear "all at once" on a given date. The concept for the Nintendo Wii surfaced in 2001. It was not until 2003 that a big development team was assembled, and by 2005 the controller interface was up and running. Later that year the unit appeared at the Tokyo Game Show. It finally rolled out on 14 September 2006. A link can be found below for more information.
No, the Wii cannot play Wii U games. It would be like trying to play a Wii game on the Nintendo GameCube; they're different consoles.
The new Wii U games usually require the new Wii U controller and will be displayed in HD, which the Wii cannot display.
There are several components that the Wii U has (mainly the game pad and graphics card) that the Wii does not.
However, the Wii U is backwards compatible, so the Wii U can play Wii games.
Yes, the Wii U is fully backward compatible with Wii games, Wii downloads, purchased WiiWare and Virtual Console games and has the Wii Menu built into it. However, Wii games cannot be controlled with the Wii U GamePad and will not be displayed in HD on the Wii U console.
Also, GameCube Contollers will not work on the Wii U even if the Wii game allows the use of GameCube Contollers. There are GameCube Controller Adapters (Mayflash) that were created that the GameCube controller to function like the Wii Classic Controller, but is not an official product of Nintendo.
No. Gamecube game were compatible with the Wii but they're no longer compatible with the Wii U. Wii games are however still compatible with the Wii U.
The white console will cost $300 and come with a GamePad, HDMI cable and sensor bar.
The black console will cost $350 and additionally come with a copy of Nintendo Land, 32GB of storage, and a GamePad charging cradle.
IDK because no one will answer this I will. I estimate it will be 150 pounds. Why is it not a shocker Nintendo will charge more for this than the oringlal wii.
Using currencies such as USD, GBP, and EUR, the price of the Wii depends on the retailer. The MSRP for the Wii is $149.99 as of September 2012.
The price, as well as many other details about the Wii U, has not been announced yet. However, most Nintendo consoles in the past (NES, SNES, N64, GameCube, Wii) have been priced at around $200-250.
The Wii will currently cost around £100; or $150-$300 depending on the system.
The MSRP for the Wii U Deluxe as of October 2013 is $299.99
Yes, it will have 1080p high-definition graphics.

You can't. It's built to test, not to keep.
I got so mad when i figured out you couldn't save i wasted 1000 wiipoints (10$)
be warned about VC games
Depends on if you like Nintendo or Microsoft. But Mertoid 3 is a next Gen game though, so it's not that fair of a comparison. They are also 2 very different games, because of the unique controller that the Wii requires.
If you love FPS games, Halo is the leading title though, and you may want to buy it (and Halo 2) so you can understand Halo 3's deep plot.
It's true that they are totally incomparable games. Halo is one of the best first-person shooters available, while Metroid is a non-linear, more exploration based game like the Zelda series. It really depends on what you type of games you like.
Put new batteries them
Or you can use a charging station for your Wii remotes, they come in single or dual style. Check out the Related Links below for a list of all the Wii Remote Chargers available. Hope this helps.
Nobody knows if there will be a Pokemon Wii Disc game, but there is a Downloadable Pokemon Game at the Nintendo Wii Shop. It goes for 800 points or so, and it is called Pokemon Rumble.
Read the official explanation here:
you save, turn off the wii, and click on the game channel. Then you start the game and should go back to the menu
No, the Wii U does not support any GameCube games nor does it support GameCube controllers. Only the original Wii supports GameCube games and controllers (4) and the memory card slots (2)
around 170-188 on certaint days if you dont have all the parts $88.00

No. If you want to play Wii games, you will need a Wiimote and/or Nunchuk to play the "virtual" Wii mode. Otherwise, it is completely optional.
