How many primes are there in the number 45?
This question is on my daughter's homework--Which shows 45 as a product of primes?
(A) 15 x 3 (B) 3 x 5 x 3 (C) 1 x 5 x 9 (D) 1 x 3 x 15
Please help
B. 3 and 5 are primes.
Reject:
A and D: 15 = 3*5 and so 15 is not prime.
C: 9 = 3*3 and so 9 is not a prime.
If two is a factor of a number is the number a prime number?
Except for the number 2, the answer is no.
Would decreasing the speedomoter decrese the number of wrecks?
Probably not. If you reduced speedometers then fewer people would know what speed they were driving at and this could well result in more wrecks.
Why is the speed of light constant if it is constant?
It is constant, because it's determined by the electrical properties of the
vacuum or material stuff it's traveling through. So as long as the electrical
permittivity and magnetic permeability of the medium don't change, the
speed that they determine doesn't either.
The constant speed of light "C" (for example in E=mC2) is the speed of light in a vacuum. Light in other mediums, such as glass, moves slower and creates such effects as refraction.
