Definition of volleyball block?

A volleyball block is when one or two members of the front row, usually the middle and the right side or left side jump up, arms extended, to block a spike from the opposing team. The intended result is for the ball to hit the two blockers' palms and ricochet back to the other side of the court, instigating either a point for the blocking team or a scramble to somehow recover the ball for the spiking team. However, there are many instances in which the ball goes through or over the block, or the blockers aren't close enough to the net so the ball ricochets off the block but still comes down on the blockers' side. In college and professional volleyball, however, a block is an effective way to get a point, though it is often recovered by the other team.

How is a libero different than a digger in volleyball?

D.S.' are treated as regular players in terms of rotations and rules. They are subbed in when a front row player gets to the back row, then back out when the DS gets to the front row.

A libero is a special player with the same skills as a DS, but has a slightly different set of rules. Liberos can sub an unlimited amount of times, and in some leagues, cannot serve. (though this is uncommon) Liberos also cannot set a front row player in front or on the attack line, nor can they attack when the ball is over the top of the net.

In short words,

A DS costs the team a substitution and can only go in for one position (one person). A Libero can go in for any person so long as they are back row. Liberos can also serve now, but only in one position.

What happens if a fan runs onto the field and tackles a player during a game of football?

The person is taken into custody by security personnel and turned over to the police who have jurisdiction. There are several charges that could apply from misdemeanors such as of creating a public nuisance/disturbance to felonies such as assault and/or battery (the player would not have to be injured for an assault charge to be valid. -----
As to where the ball would be placed, that would be upto the discretion of the officials. There have been instances in college football history where players on the bench have tackled ball carriers that were running for touchdowns. The officials ruled those plays as touchdowns. The person would most likely also be crushed super hard by one or more players on the field before security could get there. Some people are just stupid like that.
