'Romance Dawn' is the name of the 'prototype' manga that came before One Piece. Oda was drawing his initial ideas for the characters and the setting.

Yes, she does. When the Straw Hat Pirates first enter Fishman Island, they all end up in the water. Later, in the Punk Hazard arc, the small boat she is in is destroyed by bandits, and she ends up in the water again.
