What can you do to help opiate withdrawals?

I just wanted to share something that has been helpful for me as well as many others who are dealing with PAWS (post acute withdrawal syndrome).

Supplementation with amino acids and vitamins is very helpful in naturally returning your body to its normal state. L-Methionine and L-Glutamine are the building blocks for neurotransmitters, whose receptors are downregulated by opiate use. Serotonin, dopamine, and GABA are among those affected. In addition, adrenal support and vitamins help reduce one's body to normalcy quicker. These are inexpensive, natural remedies that have been proven to be successful.

Does Imodium AD help opiate withdrawls?

No - what you need is both an anti-anxiety med and an anti-nausea med (toward the end stages of withdrawals). Lots of fluids, warm clothes, and mental distractions (music, games, movies, etc.), plus mental preparations and time to get through it are also essential.

Any doctor is always willing to give you an anti-anxiety and anti-nausea med to help you with withdrawals. The anti-anxiety meds help get you through that "climbing the walls" feeling.

A good muscle relaxer like Flexeril helps also, though anything to sedate yourself is good to. In a pinch, a couple of Benadryl tablets will usually knock most people out for a few hours.

Heroin is very addictive, anyone can use heroin. People that are in pain, and addicts. I was one of those people at one time. The effects of heroin is very strong, you can inject it,snort it,or smoke it. Once you start its hard to stop cause you build a tolerence to it so you have to do alittle bit more every time to get the same effects. Please,if anyone has a problem with addiction, there are people that are willing to help, you are not alone. There is alternatives like methadone, which,it has saved my life! Do some research on " Methadone Treatment" its definitly a healthy alternative.

What shows up as an opiate on a drug screen?

A false negative! Usually people claim the results are a false positive. I suppose the drug could have been metabolized enough not to show up on a screen.

It is possible the test was done incorrectly or the test kit itself was faulty (old or somehow damaged).

What country makes morphine?

There are many countries which produce morphine, but a very very large amount of it is produced in Afghanistan.

In fact, the reason we don't inhibit the heroin trade by burning poppy fields over there (like we do with coca in Columbia, etc) is because we need Afghani farmers to grow poppies so that we can have painkillers for our hospitals over here. There is quite the morphine shortage in the world.

What is the street value for 15 mg oxycodone?

$15 just like a dollar a milligram, but usually the 30's are $25

who ever answered this must be living on the east coast. Here in Arizona you cannot get $1.00 per mg. very lucky to get $.50 on an average people will pay $5.00-$7.00 for a 15 mg. oxycodone hard to find someone to pay that price, hence alot of arizonians have a stockpile of oxycodone.

"Oxy may go for $1 an mg. But you can get darvocet at $3 for 100mg. Just ask darvomanatyahoodotcom!"

^it is an east coast thing. blueberries are anywhere from 20-30....15 depending on the amount youre buying. the best thing out there is probably Dilaudid 7x stronger than oxycodone per volume. so an 8mg would come close to an OC 60

Can you take Percocet after you take morphine?

that is a terrible alternative considering they are both highly concentrated derivatives of thebaine (paramorphine). you dont want something that will just get u off the heroin but will prevent you from using it as well. dont even bother methadone either because it builds up in your system so much that it can make you overdose if its taken improperly. try something like suboxone (buprenorphine and naloxone). the buprenorphine will help with the withdrawl and with the cravings while the naloxone is an opiate inverse agonist which will prevent you from using any other opiate for about two to three days after using suboxone
