It depends on how much you have used and for how long you have used oxycontin. If you have been using it for quite some time then please consider finding a doctor to help you wean off the drug.

However, if you insist on doing it yourself at home please do it slowly. Start with your usual amount, make your next dose 1/4 less and use this dose for at least a few days, then cut it again by 1/4 and use for a few weeks, then that amount by 1/2 and use for at least a couple weeks. when you are down to the smallest amount use that amount less frequently : for example if you were using it 3 or 4 times a day take it just twice or once a day until you feel ready to stop. You can use over the counter nausea medications, advil for headaches, pink pepto for diarrhea and chamomile tea to calm your nerves. There may be other natural remedies for effects of withdrawal you may want to google. Please avoid a rapid detox! In other words don't take a high dose and then just stop. If you cannot stop slowly please seek medical attention. I wish you the best and hope you are able to achieve your goal.

well one you can't crush and snort concerta it deactivates when it is released to the air and pretty much turns to goop. I'm prescribed concerta and I was given it for that specific reason because I was an abuser of roxys(oxycodone hydrochloride). I've only had a couple of roxys now that I've been on concerta and im am too looking to see if it is safe to be using both.

You can but you can get you hooked on both. After 3 days on percocets your body will start to become dependant. You should take a break from the phentermine as well.

I have found that mixing the two increases the effects of the oxy. Not a good combination though if you are taking oxy apap due to the fact that two excedrin has 500mg of acetaminophen in it that is simply too much tylenol in that case I would use ibuprofen instead. Keep ur head on straight and stay safe.

Yes, your friend's anxiety level could absolutely be related to suddenly stopping OxyContin. Anxiety is a known side effect and already suffering with this problem has probably aggravated the situation. I hope she sought assistance with stopping this med with her physician. This is a very dangerous and sometimes fatal, medication that needs to be continuously monitored before, during and after med initiation. Advise your friend to seek medical help to ease the symptoms of withdraw safely. Counseling to learn coping skills would be a great asset to help her anxiety in general. Good Luck!

That would be a very stupid thing to do, and in the long run wouldn't affect you much more than injesting it orally. Also some are time - released and when crushed, could kill you. Don't take chances like that. If you feel the need to get high try doing it without drugs or alchohol. Otherwise if you already have the habit, at least take it easy. If you don't or never used drugs, DON'T START !!!

Percocets are a combination drug containing oxycodone (a narcotic pain reliever) and acetaminophen (an NSAID, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug). Acetaminophen is generic Tylenol.
