No, they are two different opiates, but in the brain when one has just took oxycodone/contin all opiates are transduced into morphine, so in other words the brain detects the opiate, but it doesn't see it as oxycodone, it see it as morphine. Morphine has better pain killing effects, and Oxycontin is the best recreational opiate available by far.

Oxycodone op, as opposed to oc, is an Oxy pill containing malincodt, or something similar, that causes the pill to gel upon ingestion, and is meant to limit the abuse of the drug. It prevents it from being injected or snorted or smoked, forcing the user (or abuser) to eat the entire pill at once, and causing the pill to retain it's time-release function. Even if it is cut up, or ground up, which is extremely difficult, each piece will gel individually and still absorb slowly over a period of eight hours. There are apparently ways of extracting the opiate from the pill, similar to freebasing, by boiling the pill in various liquids for various amounts of time. Promethazine mainly helps with the nausea that can occur during post-op. It doesnt make you feel euphoric like Vicodin will, it's not a narcotic, so the chances of you becoming addicted to THIS medication is slim to none.

Actually, don't answer if you don't know what you are talking about. I am on a methadone clinic which tests urine constantly. I don't know if you are being sarcastic or not. Oxycontin shows up as oxycodone. If you have a script for oxy and and use heroin you cannot get over. Even though it is an opiate it metabolizes
into its own category. So it is an opiate but on the test our clinic uses it further breaks it into its own category (oxycodone).

The major problem is caused by the "acet" part of both drugs... Percocet AND robaxacet contains acetaminophen.. and you should never never exceed 4 000 mg in 1 day... (1000 mg per dose).

I believe that they are. I just had a urine test and i had taken hydrocodone 3 hours prior to the test (prescription of course). Got the results back today and nothing detected. Another friend of mine is on oxycodone prescription and he was also tested. Oxycodone showed up in the test and he had to show his script. What is the difference between Percocet 5 325 mg and Percocet 10 325mg?
Lorcet has 10 MG's of Hydrocodone in it with 650 MG of Acetaminophen. Percocet 5-325 has 5MG's of Oxycodone and 325 MG's of Tylenol/Acetaminophen. Oxycodone in itself is stronger than Hydrocodone. As for me personally, I would rather have the Percocet. However the hydrocodone in the 10 MG strength is a strong dose and you should be very careful taking either as you did not state the purpose for using the medication.

i bed to differ...from my experience oxycodone is a different class of opiate than hydrocodone. I'm taking 10mg norco and my doctor give me a urine test when i go see him to get my scripts. i once ran out of my meds and took a percocet. when the lab test came back the doctor asked me the next month that i went there if i had taken any Oxycontin or percocet? i told him i took one percocet b/c i went out of town and forgot my meds so someone gave me a percocet to get thru my back pain. they told me that i wasn't allowed to do that b/c i am only prescribed hydrocodone (norco) and oxycodone is what's in oxys and percs. if the answer was that it shows up the same then my doc would've never known i had taken that percocet b/c I'm allowed to have hydrocodone which is in vicodin. it is all an opiate but i there area different classes. percs and oxys are schedule 2 narcotics and also including demerall and morpine, hydromorphones too I'm pretty sure of.
