Vicodin and Norco are the same medications. Both contain the active drug called Hydrocodone.

Percocet and Oxycontin are brand names of two medications both containing the opiate/narcotic, oxycoDONE. The difference is that percocet is oxycodone and acetaminophen aka Tylenol, also sold in various dosages under names such as endocet or oxycodone/apap to name a couple. Oxycontin is the time released version of oxycodone containing no 'Tylenol'.

Yes, just because you dont take oxycodone orally doesnt mean your saliva doesnt contain the drug. If oxycodone is in your system then it will be detected in your saliva from a mouth swab. Depending on how much oxycodone you are taking, it can stay in your system for up to a few weeks or as little as a few days.

I am opiate tolerant, 20mg of Oxycontin would be insignificant. To my opiate naive grandmother, it could be an overdose, not fatal but symptomatic (nausea, dizziness, etc.)

Any uncoated, and some coated/time release pill, is injectable. It's a matter of what (to determain whether you want to die from it or not) and/or how much (to determain how long it takes to kill you).

I have taken oxycodone before around noon for back pains, 5mg.. and then advil pm at night around 9 30 - 10 and everything was okay.. just make sure you dont mix your meds too close together with too much of it at once.. hope this helps..

My doctor has had me on this combination for a month now. I take 5/325 percocet with 8mg zanaflex for neck/shoulder strain/spasms. I can't do much while taking these doses together so I stick to taking them together at night when I go to bed. During the day time I stick to just the zanaflex.

Doctors won't normally recommend it, but you can. In addition to the high amount of Percocet that I use, I also have severe migraines, which affects a different part of the nervous system that Percocet won't affect.

In those cases I use a drug call Fiorinal with Codeine, which is a combination drug containing Butalbital, Aspirin and Codeine, with a shot of Caffeine as well. I don't feel any problems from the interaction, and Percocet opiate levels are at pretty high levels in my system.

Every person is different though, so even though you can take them together doesn't mean you should or that it will affect you the same as it does me. Always check with your MD first or your Pharmacist. Pharmacists are usually more up front and honest than MD's are.

I suffer from Anxiety and have been taking 20mg paxil and 2 mg of xanix for the past couple of years. I was house-bound for 8 years prior to being on these meds, so they have really saved my life. I now drive and work and am very functional.

However, I recently had knee surgery and was given Norco. I tolerated this very well. Didn't notice any side effects from this medication. I was taking 2 norco's 3 times a day (for a total of 6 norco a day). Some days i would take extra to get the 'high'...really love it.

Last week my dr said to cut down my Norco indake to 4 pills a day MAX due to the Tylenol that's in there. And he wrote me a prescription for Oxy - 15 milligrams. He said to mix up my Norco intake with no more than two Oxy's per day.

I took my first Oxy last night, and I have to say at first I felt an awesome high. About 2 hours later I took my xanix doce and within a few minutes my heart was racing. I couldn't tell if it was me "thinking" that I should not be mixing so many drugs or if I was truly physically experienceing a true physical response to the oxy and xanix. Within a few minutes more, I was in a full blown PANIC ATTACK -- my heart was racing so badly I was certain I was having a heart attack. I wanted to take more xanix (which I would normally do if I was having an anxiety attack), but by this time I was freaking out to take any more medications. I was crying holding my phone ready to call 911. I was soooooo scared. I finally fell asleep after 2 hours.

I woke up and took my normal Norco. Then around lunch I took one 15 mg oxy (had zero xanix so far today). I felt instant heart racing and short of breath. Like I was on speed! Again, I don't know if this was all in my head, or not.

If someone could just tell me if heart racing, panic, etc. is a normal response from Oxy that would really help me. I am truly a physco symptomatic person -- even taking Excedrin can make me feel like I'm having a panic attack....the same way the Oxy made me feel.

Isn't my Norco alsmost the same thing as Oxy? Oxy is just stronger, right? It shouldn't cause a panic attack, right? I am hoping this is all just "in my head".

Please, any help you folks can offer will greatly put my mind at ease. I trust you folks more than a doctor or pharmacist - they will just read from a pamphlett - I want advice from other users like me.

yes, all opiates will produce a positive result. the liver metabolizes hydrocodone into oxycodone metabolite thus showing positive result for an opiate even though the person was taking hydrocodone. this is the standard for detection of hydrocodone and oxycodone. furthermore, morphine is tested with a positive result detecting codeine. however, methadone is metabolized a little differently and thus tests will show positive for methadone if testing is done on methadone differentially. if a test looking for opiates in general, then it will be positive for any and all opiates at that time. likewise, other tests can specifically look for heroin, morphine, and methadone. i do not believe testing differentiates b/t hydrocodone and oxycodone because of the aforementioned so the answer to your question is yes.(for use only as general advice, please use further personal research to validate and confirm these statements.)

Depends usually percocet which is comes in 5mg or 7.5 mg or 10 mg oxycodone and acetaminophen together in amounts of 350mg 500mg or 650mg is $1 milligram and Oxycontin which is pure Oxycodone is anywhere from .50 cents to .75 cents milligram. I don't recommend selling them its a federal offense.
