Neither drug is "safe" even by itself. But, as far as the combination causing any immediate danger, I have mixed the two very many times with no problem. The Adderall seems to make the OC hit you faster and stronger but will speed it out of your system faster, especially if you dont eat on the Adderall.
i disagree. i have railed a 40mg of an oxy with 60 mg of adderall and i think its the best thing ever! first the oxy then the adderall which makes me stay high longer. i have done many "scientific" tests on this subect and think its the best combination anyone could choose!

Demerol is usually used as a post operative pain medication while the patient is in the hospital, and it is also used when someone returns home after a serious operation. You have to keep in mind that even though there are so many pain medications avilable for a Dr. to prescribe, specific medications work better on certain conditions better than others.
Oxycodone is a more commonly used medication by Dr's. It is used for moderate to severe pain. For example, it may be used after having your wisdom teeth removed, or if you break a bone or hurt your back, ect..
An opiate for severe pain would either be OxyContin, Dilaudid or Opana but, most likely the last two since OxyContin has a huge stigma around it.

If one takes an Adderall at 3PM, assuming it is instant release, its effects will last anywhere from 4-8 hours depending on external factors such as weight, stomach contents, metabolism, etc. Also, if one have an alkaline stomach or digestive/urinary track, the effects off Adderall may be amplified or prolonged. Conversely, if it is acidic, then effects may be decreased or last shorter than normal.
If it is the extended release (Adderall XR) version, its effects can range from 8-16 hours, depending on the same external factors stated before. (In other words, one may be up all night or very late.)
OxyContin
Now, onto the OxyContin. Assuming one are taking it as prescribed, the effects should last 12-16 hours depending on external factors.
If one decides to be an not-so-smart individual, and crushes the OxyContin up, effects will last about 3-6 hours, but much stronger than taking the pill whole.
NOTE:
The stimulant effects of Adderall may cancel out the Depressant effects of OxyContin. As both substances induce euphoria, the OxyContin and Adderall will produce a stronger feeling of happiness/well-being/etc. Or you may just feel sick. Each person is different, so individuals should know their individual reactions to drugs.

You Don't. You are simply trading one opiate for another. Also, that would be incredibly pointless. There is a reason Drug programs offer METHADONE to get off of opiates and NOT oxycontin. That reason is simple, 1. Methadone lasts much longer than OxyContin and has much less euphoric effects, which helps people function better. 2, Methadone is MUCH cheaper than OxyContin and much more accessible, like at clinics. It makes absolutely no sense to take something even more powerful than the substance you are trying to withdrawal from (meaning OxyContin is much stronger in its euphoric effect). The best thing to do to withdrawal from methadone would be to taper off slowly like they do it at methadone clinics. But if you are switching drugs for pain management (going from methadone to Oxycontin), you will not really experience withdrawal symptoms. You will just feel slightly uncomfortable at first as your body makes the adjustment.
