What are good paintballing tactics?

There are a vast amount of tactics used in many different fields by different players with different equipment. The most general tactic is to have someone pin down an opponent, and another advance to his flank. 1v1 shootouts have a much lower success rate then a pin and flanking maneuver. If you want specific tactics, you need to ask a specific question or scenario.

Is an electic paintball gun better?

No not all paintball markers are electric. For instance the Tippman 98', and 98'custom, one of the most reliable and trustworthy guns on the market, are not electric. However buying an electric marker does grant you some benefits. Serious paintballers use electric markers because they allow they to select and customise a mode of fire that best suits them. Some electric markers also have an "eye" which prevents the gun from firing unless a paintball is completely loaded into the chamber, this saves from the firing with no paintball in the chamber or when a paintball is not fully in the chamber. Electric hoppers also are used to more quickly feed balls into the chamber on higer end guns.

How much psi does it take to shoot one paintball?

It depends on the quality of the paint (better paint breaks easier). High end paint can break from being dropped with a slightly raised hand, where low end (walmart) paint must be thrown at the ground at fairly high speeds to break.

Why do you need CO2 tank for paintball?

If you meant "why do you need any gas tank for Paintball": the expanding c02 or hpa is what pushes the ball out of the barrel at high speeds and can be used in reseting the gun.

If you meant "why you need a C02 tank specifically":

you dont need a co2 tank to play paintball. their is compresed air tankes available. most electrical guns must run on air enless you want to be doing maintenance on the gun after every game and replace parts after 5 games. most non electrical guns also can be ran on air but is capable of runing on co2 but air would keep your gun in better condition.

You need co2 or compressed air(nitrogen and compressed air are the same thing) so the paintball can fly out of the barrel and to re cock your gun automatically.

How much do paintball guns cost?

It's divided into about 3 different categories really.

Low end: $20-$200

These aren't exactly good markers but they are good if your not planning on playing a lot and seriously.

Mid end: $200-$400

These are good if your looking to be in a team or playing regularly but still don't want to dish out a lot of cash for a good marker.

High end: $400-$1500/$2000

These are usually very expensive, very good markers that well known paintball companies make.

How do you use a squeegee on a paintball gun?

A paintball squeegee is a device used for clearing a broken ball out of the marker due to the bolt cutting it and throwing paint down the barrel. Basicily it is what it sounds like it is a rubber o ring at the end of a stick which is stuck down the barrel then pulled out to clear the barrel. A variation of this is the paintball swab, which is my personal favorite, it is like a long q tip. that actually soaks up the paint in the barrel.

How do you connect a remote line from a 20oz Co2 tank to a paintball gun?

No. This is because the end head of the remote line does not have a valve. you would have to open the tank valve, fill it, close it, remove the remote, put it in your gun and then turn it back on. This would be more complicated then just removing the tank and filling it. If the remote line had an ending with a valve it would be easy, otherwise removing it would re-empty the tank.

Where can you fill up a co2 tank for a paintball gun?

Many of the retail sporting goods stores will have refill stations for your cylinders. Also, I have seen hardware stores that will do that too.

Where did you buy the gun? Chances are that the store the gun was purchased from will be able to refill the cylinder for you.

What is capped ramping in paintball?

Ramping is when you achieve a set rate of fire, which will then "ramp" your rate of fire to a higher speed.

Basically if you fire faster than a set rate (say 5 balls per second) then the mechanism will switch to fully automatic and "ramp" up the rate of fire to something higher (say 10 balls per second)

Does paintball temperature effect the accuracy of the gun?

they are more lickly to chop when they are hotter they'll break inside the gun and that isn't very good when your in the middle of the battlefield. and if it does happen you have to clean the barrel with a squeegie or a cloth or something.

Is a longer barrel on paint ball gun more acurate?

this will depend on the paint you are using, good paint that fits one 12" barrel will be very accurate, but a different good paint will be not as good in the same barrel. look into the J&J ceramic though, they are inexpensive and very good barrels that work with most paint
