What dishes are made with peanut butter?

Peanut- Butter PlayDough

I like using this recipe for kids who arent allergic to peanut butter.

If you are a child, ask a guardian for help.

And the best part is....

you don't have to cook it!

Ingredients Needed-

A teaspoon or two of honey

(or light corn syrup)

A blob of peanut butter :)

I recommend putting down some newspaper and

sprinkling some flour on it, because if you

don't use flour, it will practically just stick to your fingers!

Step 1: Mix the ingredients together in a large bowl with a spoon. Take a handfull of the goo and roll it around in the flour.

Step 2: Get out some cookie cutters and playdo cutters and stuff like that.

Step 3: Have fun playing with your EDIBLE playdo!

For leftovers, put the dough in a container and put it in the refrigerator.

I'm pretty sure it stays soft, and I wouldn't recommend leaving it in the refrigerator for more than a week.

Is oatmeal with peanut butter healthier?

As a breakfast cereal, not really. Peanut butter does add some protein, but it also adds a lot of fat to a breakfast, and fat equals calories. Oatmeal is just as good a start to the day without peanut butter as it is with peanut butter, since plain oatmeal keeps you full for a long time. Maybe just keep oatmeal with peanut butter for the weekends?

How is a peanut butter and jelly sandwich digested?

Eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich is much more complicated than it may seem. From the time the sandwich enters your body to the time it leaves, your digestive system works hard to break down the food particles into smaller molecules that are able to be absorbed by your cells.
The first step in digesting a peanut butter and jelly sandwich starts when you put it in your mouth. This is called ingestion. Your teeth begin mechanical digestion by grinding up the sandwich into very small pieces. Next, the enzymes in your saliva start chemical digestion by breaking down the carbohydrates located in the bread and some in the peanut butter and jelly. Then, your food is swallowed and pushed by your tongue to the back of the mouth where it enters your esophagus. Your esophagus will carry the mouthfuls of the sandwich down to your stomach. When this happens, the pathways up your nose and down to your lungs are closed off. Your epiglottis, which is a small flap of tissue in your throat is pushed down by the food to close off the trachea so the food does not enter your airway. The next step of digestion is in your stomach. When the peanut butter and jelly sandwich arrives at the stomach, mechanical digestion is continued when muscular movement of the stomach churns the sandwich. As muscles in the stomach wall contract and relax, the sandwich is mixed with gastric juice containing hydrochloric acid, pepsinogen, and water. The hydrochloric acid kills any bacteria in the sandwich. The chemical digestion is continued in the stomach when pepsin enzymes break down the protein from the peanut butter and some protein from the bread into smaller, amino acid molecules.
After your stomach breaks down the protein in the bread and peanut butter, muscular contractions of your stomach walls push the mushy sandwich into the small intestine. Most of the chemical digestion occurs here. Several different types of enzymes are released. The liver and pancreas help the small intestine produce the enzymes needed to break down the food molecules. Your liver helps break down the fat located in the peanut butter and the small amount of fat in the bread. Your liver produces bile which digests fat. The bile is stored in your gallbladder until it is needed. Bile breaks down the fat into smaller droplets during the process of emulsification. Your pancreas produces several enzymes including amylase, lipase, and protease. Now, the sandwich is very different. The starch that was in the bread and the carbohydrates in the jelly have been changed into simple sugar molecules. The protein molecules from the peanut butter were turned in amino acids, and the fat from the peanut butter and bread changed into glycerol and fatty acid molecules. The molecules are now small enough to be absorbed by diffusion through villi in your small intestine into the blood vessels. The food molecules can be carried to all the cells once they are in the blood to carry out their specific job.
The last step of digestion occurs in your large intestine. Almost all of the useful nutrients from the sandwich were absorbed in the small intestine. All of the remaining material from the peanut butter and jelly sandwich are passed on to your large intestine. Once there, water from the remaining material is reabsorbed into your body. Then, the muscles of your rectum force feces out through your anus, which is your last body part involved in the digestion. This process in your large intestine was called egestion.
In about the twenty-four hours it took for your body to digest the peanut butter and jelly sandwich, several of your organs and other body parts worked together. They broke down the sandwich so your body can have the nutrients it needs for survival.

Do squirrels like to eat peanut butter?

They can eat peanut butter, provided it isn't stacked full of sugar.

Wildlife conservationists and wildlife reserve carers sometimes coat pine cones in peanut butter then roll them in bird seed and leave them out for squirrels during seasons with natural nut shortages.

Organic peanut butter would be better than non-organic or supermarket brand peanut butter, since organic is pure, while non-organic usually has chemicals, flavourings and other things a squirrel doesn't need.

Ideally, squirrels should be fed proper nuts (peanuts, acorns, walnuts, chestnuts, etc), since they can store these for later use.

Turning peanuts into peanut butter is done by harvesting and removing the shells from the peanuts. The peanuts are then cleaned and taken to a processing plant where the peanuts are then roasted and cooled. Machines then roll the peanuts between rubber rollers to remove the skins. Once this is complete the peanuts are then split, the hearts are removed and the go through another final cleaning stage. They then are ground twice, after the first grinding ingredients like salt, stabilizers and sweeteners are added. They are then put through the grinding machine again to get their smooth texture.

Can you ship peanut butter to England from the US?

Yes, you can ship food from the US to UK. Keep in mind that cookies may have a short shelf life for how long they will taste good. You can go to the post office and ship the cookies via air mail, which takes around 5 days. Or you can send them international priority mail. FedEx and UPS can also do that job.

After spending a few hours comparing the shipping rates for all the package forwarding companies mentioned in this forum and other forums on the web, I found out that Viaddress.com at http://www.viaddress.com offers the lowest shipping rates according to the shipping calculators on all those sites.

Their Package forwarding service is actually FREE !, with NO set up fees and NO monthly membership fees and they also offer FREE Concierge Service!!! While other companies charge you 5% to 15% commission fee. It also says on their website http://www.viaddress.com that they have the biggest Personal shopper service on Ebay.com in the US.

Well… All of these good points convinced me to try them… and I’m glad I did...

I have used them to shop from Ebay in the US and on other couple of US sites that didn't ship outside the US and I was able to save a lot on shipping by combining all my boxes in one large box for FREE! You can do this by using the package consolidation tool in your account area on Viaddress.com.
