Percocet and Percodan

I have used percocet 500 and vicodin 750 for buldging discs and degenerative arthititis in my back. Persocet lasts longer, starts quicker, and provides more relief. I have not had any negative side effects except sonstipation.

Yes you can take them together or what I was doing was the ibuprofen every two hours and the percocet every 4 to 6 hours as needed for the really severe pain.

The ibuprofen seemed to extend the pain killing peak of the percocet while effectivly managing the swelling under the compression bandage\cast.

Doseage was 8oomg Ibuprofen every 6 hours slipped in between the doseage times for the percocet. But I found what worked better was 4oomg every 2 to 4 hours as needed in addition to the percocet. It's working well to manage pain and swelling as well.

Generally yes, athough you shouldn't need to. The ibuprofen will supply more relief of inflammation. And the percocet will provide more pain relief from its narcotic and analgesic ingredients. but, they are not commonly prescribed together. If you received the prescriptions at different times, or are considering taking over the counter ibuprofen, you should ask your health care provider first.

Yes. Percocet, much like hydro/oxycodone, contains tylenol. Ibuprofen is an entirely different drug than tylenol, and these are safe to take together. What you want to watch out for is taking too much tylenol.

yes way stronger no even close man... if you like that purple drank and can handle that... yeah it messes you up but no where near tha power and high of methadone... methadone is prob like 20times stronger maybe more im not no doctor but if your not a tolerant opiod person dont even touch methadone its deadly and way more potent than codeine or some purple drank and thats a fact

Yes it has the exact amount in them> A oxycodone is the gerneric for a percocet I am 100% sure the best ones are endo the yellow ones 10-325 the watsons are very very hard to get rid of that why i always get endo a oxy contin is a totally stonger pain killer

That's actually a null question...the question should be, "Why should I take two Lortab 7.5/500s instead of four 5/500s?" The answer to THAT question is, unless directed by your physician, you should not take more than 1000mg of Tylenol (acetaminophen) at one time, so that you can avoid liver damage. Also, do not take more than 4000mg of Tylenol in a 24 hour period. As a side note, hopefully you are asking about this medication because you have severe and/or chronic pain, and not for the "high" of which some speak!

It's very euphoric when you take it. Well, depending on the strength, really. If you take a Percocet 10, you'll feel the effects after only one pill. But a first time user of Perc's might want to take an anti-emetic (anti-nausea) medicine with it. When you start to itch, you know you're about to be in heaven. Anything could happen in front of you and you won't give a flip about it. For me, the best thing to do when a Perc high begins is to sit or lay on my bed, watching TV. Also, playing a video game makes you feel great because you feel like you can beat the game with ease. Be careful if you choose to walk around somewhere. If you're a first time user of Percocet, then you will feel dizzy and may feel a little nauseated. But after about an hour, you feel just the high. The best part about being a first time user is that the high lasts longer. A first time user will have a high that will last up to 3 1/2 hours. One that has used before will have a high of only about 30 minutes to an hour. Try not to get too addicted to them or the high won't be as good. Alternate drugs. Well, most drug tests scan for things like Amphetamines, THC (Marijuana), and illegal stuff like that, and not steroids. The drug tests can detect other things if they scan for those things.

Anyway, Prednisone is a steroid, so it would show up as a steroid if they were testing for that.

And if it did show up as something, all you'd have to do is show proof of prescription.

It depends on your weight, mtabolism and consumption. Usually 24-72 hours if you dont take any. If for example you take one vicodin 5 it will be gone the next day but if you take multiple pills then it takes 24-72 hours. Well Ive heard that is stays in your system 2-5 days after using, However I took 1- 7.5 mg Hydrocodone for fri-tues (1 aday) tonight is wed (24 hours later) after using and I took a home drug test that I purchased from CVS and it showed up as a "weak negative" "which is technically negative but arouses suspicion" So I would assume that tomorrw would be a strong negative. Hope this helps..so theoretically I would say if you use a little, then maybe 1 day it can be out of your system if you drink lots of water (which I did) btw the test I had, also tested for bleach, or chemicals used to mask or hide the drug (otc detox fluids) For the record, its not worth becoming addicted to it, if you have to use...pace yourself set a rule to never take more than a certain amount and if you have the urge to, that is a red flag its time to back off!!!!! and never take continiously, It can destory your life.
