You are a week late on your period im having brown discharge but pregnancy tests come out negative?
Brown discharge, is not really discharge at all. It's the beginning of your lining shedding or rather your cycle is starting.
It depends the most on how long you go between having periods, if your periods are very close together (less than 25 days) you probably ovulate early in your cycle. If your periods are closer to 28 or more days, day 3 or 4 is likely too soon for you to need to worry about conceiving. (see information at link.)

Those are definitely signs of getting your period, but you might have such signs for quite a while before your period starts. It just depends on your body. I personally had cramps and all those signs once a month for a few months before the bleeding actually started. Good luck!
