PGA Tour

To enter a monday qualifier you must contact your local PGA section to get the tournament information for which you wish to enter. There is an application to fill out. You must be a 2 handicap or less to enter and the fee is usually around $450. There are usually around 14 open qualifying spots open for each tournament. A maximum or 180 players may compete for these spots.

Generally, they do not carry golf balls in their pockets.

46_ Nope I believe this earlier answer is confused with his 18th major. In 1978, at age 38, Nicklaus won the British Open. This was his 15th major championship victory.

The Heritage Classic is played in Hilton Head, SC at the Harbor Towne Golf Links.

Harbor Towne is one of the shortest courses on the PGA Tour. It is now almost 7,000 yards long, and is one of the last remaining courses that is under 7,000 yards.

Believe it or not, hole in ones on par fours are quite common. Par fours start at around 260 yards or so, so this is is range for many golfers.

In some cases, there is a secondary cut made on Saturday afternoon or after the finish of the 3rd round if the original cut included more than 85 players, this is noted as "MDF" (Made cut, Did not Finish).

If you have earned your LPGA Tour card, then your do not need a sponsors exemption. Sponsors exemptions are for players who do not have the fully exempy status that card holders enjoy. Sponsors exeptions are usually given to local professionals, or notable local amatuers, as well as marquise names that are no longer exempt. They are a way for tournament directors to increase interest in their event.

The dress code of a public golf course is mainly a collared shirt. In addition to that they strictly enforce that you must tuck in your shirt.

Their is a different amount of people on the PGA tour each year. You have to go through a certain test to get a licence to play golf on the PGA tour.

It is based off the Golden Bear the greatest player of all time Mr. Jack Nicklaus. Notice the bell bottoms high follow through and lean that is characteristic of his swing. According to golfchannel he was immortalized after his famous 1 iron off the tee at 17 at pebble beach that hit the flag stick sealed his US open win. They say it was in incredible swing because the fact that while mid swing he felt a gust of wind and changed his swing so that it would not go left at the top of his back swing. No way it is Nicklaus! Where's the belly? He wasn't nicknamed the Golden Bear, because of his svelt appearance! I had always heard it was modeled after Gene Sarazen, but according to the PGA Tour, it is not modeled after any one golfer. No . . .Mac O'Grady in his youth.

This would be a very rare happening. It does happen though, especially when two really good players are playing at the same time.
