The PGA Tour bans any kind of device that can measure the yardage or wind or anything in that nature. The only time that a player/caddie can use such a device would be during a Pro/Am or other event that does not earn them money directly and the PGA Tour as authorized it which is almost never. If someone is caught using one of these devices they will be disqualified.
