What are the main points of the story of Muhammad and the angel gABRIEL?
The Holy Prophet (SAW) used to retire to the cave of Hira to meditate. Once he heard a voice say, "Read." The voice was of Hazrat Jibrael (R). He replied that he did not know how to read. The voice again said to read. He replied "I cannot read". Then he hugged the Prophet (SAW) and told him to read. He said, "What can I read?" The voice said:
"Read in the name of your Lord Who creates,
Creates man from cloth
Read: And your Lord is Most Bounteous
Who teaches by the pen.
Teaches man that which he knew not."
The angel then told him he had been appointed the messenger of Allah.

AnswerNo; he is not an Israelite. But the question that most of us ask now, arose before during the time of Muhammad s.a.w; preaching the words of God onto Arabia. Was Muhammad mentioned? This was the question by inhabitants of Arabia towards Jews that embraced Islam. And if we refer to the claim by past Jewish converts, they had quote verses from Isaiah 42.
Lets look at the passages in Isaiah. God address His chosen servants with their names, and in the prophesied verse we see God mention clearly the prophet's name. Some examples of God mentioning His servant by name.
(My Servant Isaiah, My Servant Eliakim, David My Servant, Jacob My Servant, My Servant Israel, and so in Isaiah 42:1 , God specifically mention My Servant Ahmad)
In Isaiah 42:1, it is deemed not a coincidence upon seeing the writing of both ×תמך (Atmc) ×חמד (Ahmd). And the word before ×תמך (Atmc), is עבדי (Abdi~My Servant). For indeed, it is indicating Ahmad; Abdullah (Ahmad; Servant of God).
Not to mention ×תמך (Atmc) happen to be a special term foretelling the coming of a righteous man and is used only ONCE throughout the entire Book. [could this be a copying error or an intended error?]
The prophecy tells about Ahmad; 'Servant of God' whom will war to correct the wrongs and bringing judgement based on the law of God. He will liberate act of worshiping molten images and thus Arabia (wilderness desert, villages and cities) will glorify God since then. As can be seen today, Arabia are worshiping, praising God and singing words of God daily. Inhabitants from all around the world gather there and voice out loud their praise to God.
And we continue reading Isaiah 42:18 - 25; God remind the 'blind and deaf' about the wrath of God towards Children of Israel, whom neglect the message brought by past Servant of God.
And not to repeat; the same mistake upon the coming of the new Servant of God

Station of Ibrahim (Maqam Ibrahim)
In order to complete the upper part of the walls of the Kaaba, Ibrahim stood upon a large stone block which he moved along when each section was completed. When the Kaaba was finished, the large stone block was left outside the Kaaba, close to the eastern wall of the sanctuary. It became known as the Maqam Ibrahim (the station of Ibrahim). Today, the Maqam Ibrahim, with the stone within, is located in front of the door of the Kaaba. The boulder is about 2 x 3 feet. Where it stands today is the place where Ibrahim offered up his prayers.

The Station of Abraham is a glass and metal enclosure within the pilgrimage circuits of the Kaaba. According to Muslim tradition:
"God made the stone under Abraham's feet into something like clay so that his foot sunk into it. That was a miracle. It was transmitted on the authority of Abu Ja'far al-Baqir (may peace be upon him) that he said: Three stones were sent down from the Garden: the Station of Abraham, the rock of the children of Israel, and the Black Stone, which God entrusted Abraham with as a white stone. It was whiter than paper, but became black from the sins of the children of Adam."

Answer 3 (comment on answer #2 above)One can read historical books to be sure of this saying. Refer to links below.
Muslims already believe in Jesus (as thaught by Muhammed and Quran) as one of the great messengers of God. Muslims believe that Jesus was miraculaously born to mother Mary with out any male intervention.
Its too bad that we christians have failed to preserve the teachings and message of Jesus. We Christians are so helpless, unguided and totally lost.. all because the powerful emporers and kings of the past (with the help of jews) succeeded in destroying the original books and left us wtih completely distorted books.
May be we should read the message of later messengers of God and find what really God is expecting from us.
