Pythons

Pythons are a family of non-venomous snakes that are native to Africa, Asia and Australia. Pythons are ambush predators that use constriction to kill their prey. Unlike female boas, female pythons lay eggs. Pythons are hunted for their skin, which is used, like leather, to make shoes, handbags and other fashion accessories. Is burmese pythons in te everglades?

They encroach on native species, but attempts to eradicate them will be largely futile due to the fact that a stable population has already sprung up. Even if the population was completely wiped out pet owners will still let them go (some people never learn). However, keep in mind that it is the irresponsible reptile owners that don't educate themselves on what they're getting into when they buy a Burmese python that do the harm. The responsible ones don't deserve to be punished. The pythons don't seem to be doing that much harm (certainly not as much as the media portrays), but they are doing some.

When do plants use carbon dioxide night or day?

Plants use carbon dioxide in the daytime as part of photosynthesis which occurs in the chloroplast. They use the CO2 and make sugars. People breath in oxygen and breath out carbon dioxide, plants do the opposite. They breath in carbon dioxide and breath out oxygen.

One small "technical" detail that should be mentioned. Plants really don't breath, they respire. People breath.

So, at the night, the plant cells respire more than they photosynthesise, so they get rid of more carbon dioxide than oxygen.

Can ball pythons swim?

no

I beg to differ!

ballpythons can swim pretty well.

They are not meant to be in the water like water snakes. if they were put into the middle of a lake they would most likely not make it back to shore, but if they are in VERY shallow water and can see the land & that land isn't too far away, they could probably make it.

Ball Pythons will roll into a ball and when you drop them into the water they will sink to the bottom and then they CANT get back to the surface.... common sense ppl.

^^^ The above comment is correct to an extent. Yes, you can let your Ball Python swim, it's actually very good for them as it helps them shed. However, make sure the water is lukewarm and shallow enough for the snake to keeps it head above the water. It's better to put the water in a basin, and put a book or something under one side so that half the basin has water and half does not, this way the snake will choose how much it wants to bathe and has dry land if it needs to get away from the water.
