Whirlpool side by side fridge freezer has a clicking noise and flashing temperature display?
I had the same problem, An engineer said I needed a new circuit board, but I found this guy on eBay who provides all the components and a handy instruction guide to fix it myself.

It saved us hundreds and the fridge works perfectly so I can highly recommend it.
The seller is a genuine guy and happy to help if you need it.
Will a refrigerator that has been stored and unplugged for 5 month continue working?
yes, the compressor shoud be just fine as long as the frige wasn't stored in a corosive environment. That would cause the mechanics to rust. But if you don't see any major rust spots you should be fine. Also watch out for any animal nests to make sure no roadent damage.

The defrost timer sometimes is built into the main board
Where should a refrigerator thermometer be placed?
Away from where the cold air goes in, probably mid way where u the it is the coldest and warmest in ur fridge
Door gasket or anything obstructing it from cooling. When it reaches a certain temperature the compressor usually shuts off until the space inside drops below the temperature that it is set to.
Why is temperature controlled in refrigerators?
simply to keep food fresh. If the fridge's temp is too high, food will warm to room temperature and go off faster. Too cold, then the food will freeze! Everytime you open the fridge door you are letting room temperature air inside, increasing the temperature of the air inside the fridge, therefore the fridge (if automatic) will measure the temperature and make the air to the right temperature.
Would crab meat opened and left in can then put in fridge for two days still be good?
I wouldn't trust it, I don't leave anything in the original can. It will taste like tin. You should always put in a baggie or plstice cont. if you plan on eating the rest in a FEW days.

What happens when you put a plant in the freezer for a week?

What is a refrigeration agent?
A refrigeration agent is a secret agent who hides in your fridge and spies on your food. They can easily disguise themselves as last night's leftovers.
What is a brief description of the basic refrigeration cycle?
Starting at the compressor;
Low pressure vapor refrigerant is compressed and discharged out of the compressor.
The refrigerant at this point is a high temperature, high pressure, superheated vapor.
The high pressure refrigerant flows to the condenser by way of the "Discharge Line".
The condenser changes the high pressure refrigerant from a high temperature vapor to a low temperature liquid and leaves through the "Liquid Line".
The high pressure refrigerant then flows through a filter dryer to the Thermal Expansion valve or TXV.
The TXV meters the correct amount of liquid refrigerant into the evaporator.
As the TXV meters the refrigerant, the high pressure liquid changes to a low pressure, low temperature, saturated vapor.
This saturated vapor enters the evaporator and is changed to a low pressure dry vapor.
The low pressure dry vapor is then returned to the compressor in the "Suction line".
The cycle then starts over.
In an air tight container how long will bacon last in the fridge?
Depends on when the was cut - not when it was put in the fridge. Bacon almost always comes with an expiry date. As long as the container is air tight, the expiry date is still valid.
How do you clean the condenser coils on a amana refrigerator?
Amanas have coils underneath (near the compressor) and should be cleaned at least once a year (more often if you have pets that shed).
Older Amana refrigerators are especially sensitive to air flow blockage.
First, remove the kickplate/grill at the bottom front covering the opening under the lower door. Clean the kickplate outside with a garden hose to remove any dust and hair. Next, using either a condenser coil brush (looks like a bottle brush) or a vacuum cleaner with a crevice tool (which doesn't do as good a job), clean over, under and through the coils found behind the kickplate.
Can you refrigerate rescue detox ice before you use it?
I called the number on the bottle and they said it was a good idea because it tastes pretty good as long as it's cold.
Turning off the fridge at night does it cost more electricity?
No, but whatever you save on electricity you are likely to lose on the food going bad faster.
Describe the process that occurs in a refrigerator?
what happens is that all the heat is taken out of the refrigerator, leaving it cool on the inside and warm on the outside.
Why does your refrigerator turn off on back on frequently?
it turns on to regulate the temp inside and off once it's reached
