i have been told to push and hold button on indicator stalk or when service light is on ur screen push and hold button on ur speedo until it resets its self
Grand Scenic 2004 : I just done a reset by
Moving the computer screen display using the top buttom on the windscreen wiper column until "service in **** miles " is displayed
With the "service in *** miles " message displayed, hold down the same button, used to change the message displayed, located on the wiper column until the "service in **** miles " message flashes, when it flashes showing the correct service interval in miles, press the button on the indicator column (normally used for cruise control) The display shoul now show the correct service interval.
Are you talking about the digital speedometer or the whole dashboard?
.
If you lift your boot and under the boot carpet is a compartment with a hazard warning on it. Lift the cover off and you will see a handle pull that hard and it will release the brakes on the back wheels. This will probably leave you with a warning on your dash saying Parking Brake Fault. To cure this and get your handbrake working again take the negative lead off your battery and put it on again the ECU resets itself and the warning goes off your dash and your handbrake is working again. You would then have to reset your emergency handle in the boot that is excatly were i am up to as my brakes locked over the weekend and i had to use the emergency handle to release them but i dont think it is to hard looking at the manual or take it to a competant garage and i'm sure they can do it quite cheap.
Unless you have very small hands, go to Halfords they will replace the bulb for a fiver.
It depends on what model you have it should be in the complex plumbing on the right as you look at the engine inside a metal or plastic housing on the end of the cylinder head. Hope this helps.
The radio codes supplied in your radio are unique to your vehicle, there are 9999 possibilities, it will be necessary to get it from Renault, or it will be easier (and cheaper) to purchase a new radio.
Not unless it is worn out.
Just bought one myself. Mechanic in work (who also used to own an rx4) claims that it need to be changed after 70.000 miles.
Typically on many manufacturers, this is due to a bad earth on the light unit.
Take it out and look for corrosion or heat damage. 2 good signs of bad electrical connection.
Leave the Hazard lights on when you reconnect and notice if the lights work correctly or as you describe.. Usually, they will be some degree of each if it is a poor connection.
full details below, special tool required. Replacement Interval Guide Renault recommend: 03/99: Replacement every 60,000 miles or 5 years. 04/99 : Replacement every 72,000 miles or 5 years. Hi you will need a star bit screw driver, remove the two black screws you can see with the boot open. Then pull on the whole unit as it has two pin like clips that also hold it.
You should then have a whole light unit in your hand carefull not to pull too hard as the power cables are short.
the bulbs are hidden behind a plastic cover use a flat head screw driver to pop open the covers clips.
the bulbs just twist out.
most cars that have injection can be chipped.
aka astra 1.4i = can be superchipped
i suggest getting in touch with the people who make the superchips, such as bluefin etc. http://www.mybluefin.co.uk/
Hi Scenic owner,
To access to the location, you have to remove engine cover by lifting the front part, ie nearer to you, then pull the cover towards you. This will prevent damaging the cover.
Every spark plugs has its individual ignitor. It can be removed by unfastening bolt size 10mm socket.
Once the ignitor is removed, the spark plug which is inside the plug well can be removed by using the right size spark plug socket wrench.
Hope this help.
