Gas exchanges occurs in the "alveoli".

The cardiovascular system is where the respiratory system transfers oxygen.

lungs considered as excretory organ because it excretes waste such as carbon dioxide and other wastes , and it is considered as respiratory because lungs involves respiration which means as the transport of gaseous materials like oxygen in and outside of the body.

Mostly, it is due to the glottis. Your diaphragm contracts first causing an intake of air. The "glottis" (the vocal part of your larynx) closes and stops the air coming in. When that air hits the glottis, which is closed, it causes the sound that you are referring to as a hiccup.

If someones lungs are damaged, their Respiratory systemwill stop working.they would die :)

Respiratory therapists treat premature newborns, performing diagnostic tests and assisting with ventilation when needed. They see heart attack patients and patients with breathing disorders such as emphysema, asthma, or bronchitis. Respiratory therapists may deal with patients in critical situations on life support or in the intensive care unit.

Respiratory therapists use a variety of treatments to assist their patients. For people with asthma, an aerosol medicine is often prescribed. Other patients may require an oxygen mask or chest physiotherapy. Respiratory therapists in some areas are permitted to take electrocardiograms, perform stress tests, and draw blood for testing.

Respiratory therapists work with patients dealing with difficult health issues and must be sensitive to their concerns and needs. They work well as part of a team of health professionals, but can also make important decisions independently. Respiratory therapists are detail-oriented and understand the importance of keeping good records.

Because of counter-current exchange, fish gills are the most efficient at gas exchange. This is followed by the continuous flow of bird lungs (due to their system of air-sacs). I don't know which animal exactly, but look to the fish for your answer.

The ease with which the lungs and thorax can expand is called "COMPLIANCE".
