Yes, these are OK together. Tylenol is a pretty safe pain reliever. You just have to follow directions on the box and don't take too many. Overdosing on acetaminophen can cause liver damage.

Ritalin is a stimulant, however in some people it has what is called a paradoxical effect, i.e. the opposite effect. It works by stimulating the inhibitory center of the brain, thus slowing things down for those with ADD & Hyperactivity. So it is possible for it to have the effect of drowsiness on some occasions. This may indicate that a dose adjustment is necessary.

my son was switched to straterra for its lesser effect on apetite suppression. within weeks he was moody and irritable. severe mood swings made us switch back to his adderal xr and i now live with the fact that he will eat early in the morning and late at night. as long as he's getting his calories in i will never switch to another medication. i also don't medicate him over weekends and school vacations my advice to you and your new doctor is not to switch especially if your son is doing well. if it's not broken, why fix it?

From what I've read about withdrawal symptoms it sounds like it builds up in your system like anti-depressants.
