What did Robin Williams do for charity?
Williams took part in the America: A Tribute to Heroescharity telethon for victims of 9/11.
He performed at the 2008 We are Amused comedy night to benefit Prince's Trust.
He founded his own Windfall Foundation.
He used his incredible energy to help a variety of causes, from visiting children's wards in hospitals to entertaining US troops in war zones.
Robin's charity work has covered the spectrum from health care and human rights, to education, environmental protection, and the arts. He toured the Middle East with the USO a total of five times, including visits to Iraq and Afghanistan, to help raise morale among the troops and was, perhaps, best known philanthropically for his affiliation with Comic Relief, which was founded in 1986 as a non-profit organization to help America's homeless.
Williams funded the Robin Williams Scholarship at his alma mater, Julliard. Was Robin William's eye sewn shut for the part of popeye?

Why in the movie Mrs Doubtfire did Miranda Hillard divorce her husband?
Daniel Hillard was immature and irresponsible. He couldn't keep a job, used inappropriate behavior and judgment around his children and threw a birthday party with other children and a petting zoo without talking to his wife first. Here are my favorite lines from the movie:
Police Officer: "Do you know it's against the law to have animals of a barnyard nature?"
Miranda Hillard: "Unless you happened to married to one!"
The movie is "The Final Cut"
Where does Robin Williams's sense of humor come from?
Answer:
I took a Shakespeare class in NYC and my teacher told us the story of Robin Williams and where he gets his sense of humor. Apparently it comes from his innate weirdness. My teacher--who I think knew him briefly back in the good ole days--said that he was naturally just a very random, hilarious, crazy guy.
Another answer:
His mother, Laura Smith
Who would win Robin Williams or Steve Carell?
Begs the question: win what? Robin Williams has been performing comedy and acting since the 1970's; Steve Carrell's performing career didn't fire up until more than ten years later. Williams has earned an Oscar, two Emmys, six Golden Globes, five Grammies, and two SAG Awards; Carell won a Spike TV 2008 "Funniest M.F. Award."
While both men are brilliantly funny, it is perhaps unfair to compare them. At best, you're going to get only personal speculation and opinion. And, those are inclined to agree with your own.
